The pandemic has probably left you with a lot of pent-up energy and excitement, and one of the best ways to let it all out is at Pole Position Raceway.
The vehicles at this indoor facility aren’t your average gas-up-and-go-karts—these babies are equipped with an 18-horsepower electric motor and can reach speeds up to 45 mph. Plus, these karts are only a few inches off the ground, so 45 mph feels much faster than you’d expect.
Since the name of the game is getting the best track time, accuracy is key. So while you may be tempted to go full-throttle in these karts, the 1/4-mile track has several sharp turns; therefore, braking, although less fun, is equally important as speed. It might take a lap or two to figure the dynamics of the track out, but once you do, it’s full speed ahead.
