This year, take your sense of adventure to new heights by riding thrill rides atop The STRAT’s Skypod. At nearly 1,000 feet above ground, three extreme amusement rides await. And there’s no ranking which one is more thrilling, as they all offer their own adrenaline-pumping (and slightly terrifying) experience.
Perhaps no ride is more aptly named than Insanity, because it’s one of the craziest rides ever created—a carousel in the sky controlled by a giant mechanical arm, dangling and spinning 64 feet away from the Skypod. Then there’s X-Scream, a short roller coaster resembling a seesaw that teeters 27 feet over the edge of the tower. But the classic ride that’s been with The STRAT since the beginning is the Big Shot, a pneumatically powered ride that shuttles thrill seekers up and down the tower’s iconic space needle.
