Terry Fator truly represents a sea change in the history of Las Vegas entertainment. He was the first contestant from reality competition America’s Got Talent to earn a lengthy residency on the Las Vegas Strip. (Subsequent AGT competitors are now all over the entertainment landscape here, from Tape Face and Piff the Magic Dragon to Shin Lim and Mat Franco.) And more than 10 years later, Fator continues to pack houses wherever he performs. Once you’ve seen his show, it’s not hard to see why.

The latest incarnation of his show, subtitled Who’s the Dummy Now?, has ventriloquist Fator doing what he does best: Impersonating famous singers through various puppets, many of which have been with him from day one, including Winston the Impersonating Turtle and Emma Taylor. But he also delves into his evolution as ventriloquist, and how he created the characters, which adds another dimension to the show.

Fator’s mind-boggling ability to croon like Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks and Julio Iglesias without moving his lips creates some truly magical moments onstage.
