Now that Nevada’s limits on crowd size have been slightly loosened, several iconic shows are making their return to the Las Vegas Strip. The theaters still won’t be completely full—Gov. Steve Sisolak is being extremely mindful about social distancing as the vaccine rollout continues. But this is a great step in the right direction, and best of all, you can see shows again! In Vegas!

Carrot Top

Luxor, 702.262.4400

One of the Strip’s longest-running acts, Scott Thompson brings his extraordinary prop comedy back to Luxor, albeit this time in the much larger Luxor Theater (home to past shows such as Criss Angel Believe and Cirque du Soleil’s R.U.N.) to allow for a larger crowd. Carrot Top has had his share of detractors in the past, but he continues to prove them all very, very wrong. There are few better stress relievers right now than laughter, and Carrot Top tirelessly delivers them in boatloads.

Absinthe

Caesars Palace, 702.534.3419

By far the most irreverent show the Strip has ever seen, this Spiegelworld extravaganza features a variety of out-of-this-world acts in the spiegeltent, hosted by The Gazillionaire with an assist from Wanda Widdles and the sensuous/hilarious Green Fairy. When you’re not doubled over with laughter over the oh-so-inappropriate things coming out of Gaz’s mouth, you’ll be gasping at the feats of strength, balance and athleticism taking place in the small ring in the middle of the tent.

David Copperfield

MGM Grand, 866.740.7111

There’s little we can say about the man you don’t already know. He’s arguably the world’s most famous magician, but as spectacular as the illusions are, what really puts Copperfield’s show over the top is the way he personalizes everything; the disappearance and reappearance of massive objects—and sometimes people—feels organic to the story he is telling, whether it’s a memory of his father or a touching story from his childhood; you’ll relate to it all, and by the end of the show, you really will believe in magic. No, seriously.

Fantasy

Luxor, 702.262.4400

Like Carrot Top, this show has been transplanted to the Luxor Theater, but the larger room will not take away from the energy and sensuality of the production, a longtime favorite on the Strip for more than 20 years. Whether the athletic, sexy ladies are taking your breath away with perfect choreography or singer Lorena Peril is helping take away your inhibitions with some serious pipes, Fantasy remains one of the must-see shows in Las Vegas.

The Australian Bee Gees Show

Excalibur, 702.597.7600

Whether you’re a fan of the super-early material (“New York Mining Disaster 1941,” “To Love Somebody”) or the later disco material (“Stayin’ Alive,” “How Deep Is Your Love”), you’ll want to reserve your ticket for this ultimate tribute show. Michael Clift (Barry), David Scott (Robin) and Wayne Hosking (Maurice) throw themselves completely into their real-life counterparts, and their passion will translate to your heart—and your feet. We dare you not to dance, because you really should be!
