It’s tough to focus on anything but the great outdoors when the weather’s warm and the sun is shining. During springtime in Las Vegas, we get plenty of both, so if Mother Nature is begging you to come out and play, take up the offer and experience several ways to enjoy the delightful weather.

1. Springs Preserve (702.822.7700) At this tranquil nature reserve, enjoy a lush botanical garden and plentiful opportunities to view wildlife, whether it’s at the quiet butterfly habitat or the desert tortoise habitat, where you’ll see Mojave Max, the mascot of the Mojave Desert ecosystem.

2. Topgolf Las Vegas (702.933.8458) Move over bowling. Challenge your friends to games where the farthest and most accurate shots score the most points. But even if you stink at golf, you’ll still have a great time here, for you can enjoy delicious food and drink and an incredible view of the Strip.

3. Red Rock Canyon (702.515.5350) One of the most spectacular conservation areas in the country is right here in our backyard, and the 13-mile scenic loop is the most accessible way to view the sprawling landscape. Along the path you’ll find several overlooks and hiking trails that make for an awesome getaway.

4. Lake Las Vegas Water Sports (702.600.9860) For a relaxing time on the water, rent a kayak, paddleboard or an electric boat and cruise along the lake. But if you really want to make a splash, strap into a Flyboard water jet pack, which shoots you in the air using water propulsion.

5. Maverick Helicopters (702.261.0007) Looking to take a quick trip to the Grand Canyon? The Wind Dancer helicopter tour offers the perfect opportunity. Once you reach the Canyon, the helicopter will land on a private bluff 300 feet above the Colorado River, where you can snack on light bites and explore.

6. Railroad Pass Trail (702.293.8990) Not only is this an easy flat trail with breathtaking views of Lake Mead, it’s also a path rich in history—the trail was used as a railway to transport materials to Hoover Dam during its construction. In case you find it hard to imagine the scope of the project, the five enormous tunnels along the path will help put it in perspective.

7. Stadium Swim at Circa (circalasvegas.com) Whether or not you agree that it’s “the best pool in history,” it’s definitely one of the coolest places to spend a sunny day. There’s six swimming pools on three levels, lounge chairs, cabanas, cocktails, small bites and a 40-foot tall high-def screen.

8. Rail Explorers Las Vegas (877.833.8588) It’s a hard sell to pay for a ride that makes you do all the work, but this 4-mile, pedal-powered railway ride is all downhill, so you can enjoy the peaceful desert scenery, and a cool breeze, as you roll from the Nevada State Railroad Museum to Railroad Pass in Boulder City.

9. Vegas ATV Adventures (702.254.0770) If you’re an adrenaline junkie, you’ll love this exhilarating attraction. As you zip through terrain that’s part of the Mint 400, you’ll encounter jumps, sharp turns, and a long straightaway where you can speed up and leave fellow riders in the dust.
