Few bands have the feel-good vibes of Herman’s Hermits Starring Peter Noone. Even fewer bands have their staying power—the group is nearing its sixth decade of performing, and continues to fill venues wherever they go. It might be the nostalgia aspect; it might be the irresistible hooks; it might be the British cheek. Whatever it is, there’s just something that instantly puts you in a good mood.

Led by vocalist Noone, the band’s 1960s creations continue to live on, both in live performances and in pop culture. (Who can forget Patrick Swayze pestering Whoopi Goldberg with “I’m Henry the VIII, I Am” in Ghost, or the “music video” from Naked Gun to the tune of “I’m Into Something Good”?)

This is definitely one of those shows where you’ll find yourself amazed at not only how many songs you recognize, but songs you didn’t realize the group recorded: “There’s a Kind of Hush,” “Silhouettes,” “Leaning on a Lamp Post” and so many more. This is a feel-good night through and through.
