During Carlos Santana’s 10-year residency at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay, fans have enjoyed an enormous number of vibrant hits. There are even some that the hippies at Woodstock watched the guitarist and his band play more than 50 years ago, legendary songs like “Evil Ways” and “Soul Sacrifice.”
At a modern-day Las Vegas concert, they’re still performed with the passion the band started with, but there have been plenty of changes to the singer’s band through the years, with members coming and going, including Cindy Blackman Santana, Santana’s wife and a talented drummer with a successful solo career. In the House of Blues sets, you’re likely to hear more classic hits like “Superstition,” “Oye Como Va” and “Black Magic Woman,” but also selections like “Joy” from Santana’s latest album, Blessings and Miracles (his 26th), as well as others sourced from an incredible career.
House of Blues at Mandalay Bay, 7 p.m. Sept. 14, 16-18, 21 & 23-25, starting at $99.50 plus tax and fee. ticketmaster.com
