If you want to explore one of the wonders of the natural world, you’ll find an excellent place within a short drive of Las Vegas. Grand Canyon West features a variety of adventures and one of the most unique attractions around.

Start with great views at Guano Point and Eagle Point, which are included with admission to Grand Canyon West. Then add on the impressive Skywalk if you want—once you take a trek on the U-shaped glass ridge, you’ll feel pretty brave. That’s because the Skywalk is a cantilevered glass walkway that offers some intense views of the West Rim, both out and underfoot. For other perspectives on the canyon, book a helicopter and pontoon package, where you take a helicopter down to the canyon floor for a float on a pontoon.

West of the rim is Peach Springs, Ariz., the capital of the Hualapai nation, where you can catch a whitewater rafting adventure on the Colorado River or grab a bite to eat in the Diamond Creek restaurant.
