The high-energy production plays with the 1950s and ’60s expectations of women with tongue planted firmly in cheek as Maren Wade, the vocally talented and visually stunning headmistress, guides you through the lessons of charm school, each with its own corresponding dance number. And each section is choreographed with unexpected reveals, impressive dance moves and even some neat lifts and stunts.
When you take your seat, you’ll find yourself fully immersed in retro glitz and glam with white lamps on each table, custom cocktails being served by the thematically dressed waitstaff and even a roaming “T.A.” who takes strolls through the crowd, interacting with audience members before showtime.
