Donny and Marie Osmond had one of the Las Vegas Strip’s most popular shows for years, and when it was announced Donny Osmond would be launching his own show in 2021, there were some who wondered how successful he would be without his sibling. After all, they’ve been part of the American consciousness for decades, going all the way back to their hit ’70s TV show. For fans of that era, it’s like Sonny without Cher, Captain without Tennillle, Ashford without Simpson.

But any doubts about his solo staying power were quickly put to rest: The show was a hit, and during his recent weekslong hiatus, it was announced he had been extended through May of next year. In other words, yeah, he’s doing just fine, and if you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, you may want to stop reading this right now and get cracking.

All done? Did you get seats close to the stage? Hopefully you did, because the first thing you’ll learn during this show is that Osmond loves getting up close and personal with his audience. In a particularly fun bit, he discusses his lengthy career and discography (more than 60 albums and counting!), after which he invites members to shout out any song he’s ever recorded—and he’ll perform it on the spot (or he’ll give it the old college try, which is almost more entertaining than a spot-on version).

And yes, you are going to hear all the hits you remember throughout the years, from “One Bad Apple” from his Osmonds years to solo hits like “Puppy Love” and “Soldier of Love.” He’ll also remind everyone that he’s a Broadway powerhouse, including a production number of “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” from Mulan. And lest we forget that he won Dancing With the Stars, yes, he’s going to bust several moves.

But by far the show-stopping number of the night is his 10-minute-long “auto-rapography,” during which he tirelessly raps about every parsec of his career. It’s amazing, hilarious and exhilarating—much like Osmond himself.
