It seems nearly impossible to be a fan of reality TV and musical theater and not be affected in at least some small way by Todrick Hall. Where to begin with this man of many talents? Obviously he can sing; anyone who heard him audition for the ninth season of American Idol will attest to that fact. But that’s just the beginning of this man’s entertainment journey, one that has seen him in a seven degrees-of-Kevin-Bacon connection with stars of every stripe.
A noted choreographer as well, Hall has served as a judge and choreographer on RuPaul’s Drag Race, and assisted in the choreography of Beyoncé’s “Blow” music video, while his singing chops took him to The Masked Singer (he was Bull!), Kinky Boots on Broadway (he was Lola!) and Chicago at the West End (he was Billy Flynn!). He’s released several albums, and garnered millions of views on YouTube with his musical parodies.
As you’ll see during his House of Blues show, Hall is a master showman, one who can combine great pipes with smooth moves. This is a man with visions of joining the EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony) elite, and given his career path, it’s hard to believe he won’t accomplish that feat.
