America’s Got Talent finished up its 18th season on Sept. 26 (at press time, the winner had not yet been selected), and many agree that it was one of the best yet, an incredible mix of world-class talents—comedians, singers, bands, acrobats, dancers and, yes, even a man who re-creates famous songs using just the air coming from between his squeezed palms! Obviously, the goal is to win the whole thing, which brings with it $1 million and a show in Las Vegas; but as many of the runners-up will attest (Piff the Magic Dragon, Tape Face and iLuminate, for example), just appearing on the show can change your life.
And best of all, all those acts you grow to know and love over the seasons will possibly be performing the next time you’re in town. The show has established its very own variety show at Luxor: America’s Got Talent Presents SUPERSTARS Live, featuring a rotating cast that, over the years, has included quick-change artist Lea Kyle; singer Jimmy Herrod; acrobat act Duo Transcend; magician Justin Tavella; spoken-word poet Brandon Leake; and mentalist act The Clairvoyants. And the current lineup is just as exciting and spans a wide variety of seasons:
Season 6: Not only did the performers in The Silhouettes get the Golden Buzzer with their impeccable skills at creating ever-changing tableaus by changing the shapes of their bodies on a backlit screen, they took second place for their season.
Season 11: Amazingly, danger act Deadly Games, featuring Alfredo and Anna Silva, didn’t even crack the top 10, getting eliminated in the semifinals. But it remains a fan favorite and is an undeniable highlight of SUPERSTARS.
Season 12: With its combination of dancing and light-adorned costumes, Light Balance almost won its season, coming in third. It begins and ends the show, which tells you all you need to know about its appeal.

Season 13: The Human Fountains, tuxedo-clad comedians who spit water in all directions, including each other’s mouths, may be the only SUPERSTARS act to get a red “X” (from Simon Cowell, who got grossed out). But you’ll be splitting a gut from laughing, trust us.
Season 14: Singer/pianist Kodi Lee remains one of the best AGT acts in history, providing beautiful renditions of songs like Leon Russell’s “A Song for You.”
Season 16: Self-trained aerialist Aidan Bryant came close to winning his season (second place), but returned for All-Stars and won the whole thing. His act is, by turns, beautiful and nail-bitingly intense, but there is simply nothing like him on the entire Strip.

Season 17: The Pack Drumline was an instant hit with the AGT judges and America, and while the troupe was eliminated in the semifinals, its propulsive rhythms, combined with some amazing choreography, landed it a spot in the Luxor production. It just feels tailor-made for Las Vegas.
