If we told you that there’s now a roller rink on the Strip, would you believe us? You better, because for a limited time the iconic Tao Beach has been transformed into Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace, and the pool is the skate surface! A blend of family-friendly fun and Vegas-style party energy, this pop-up experience presents the perfect daytime activity, with super-cheap skate rentals, a custom menu of sips and snacks, and cabanas available.
Everyone from beginner to expert can have a fantastic time here as the rink is relatively small and unintimidating. However, it’s the shape of the pool it’s built on—not the typical oval—and presents opportunities for creative footwork.
Food and bev offerings include some thematic treats and some can’t-miss Tao classics. Try the crisp Crazy-Legged Mule, made with vodka, hibiscus, lime and ginger beer for something sweet and floral yet punchy. If the cold weather has you craving a steaming sip, opt for The Ugly Sweater, featuring Bushmills 10 Year whiskey, coffee, tiramisu and cream. Nonalcoholic delights like apple cider with lemon and cinnamon syrup also promise great flavor and cozy feelings.
Don’t forget to order shareables like loaded nachos and spicy tuna tartare on crispy rice. For larger appetites, consider entrées like fish and chips, or hot dogs and caviar served with yuzu crème fraîche. Book a cabana for classic s’mores or cheesy s’mores with housemade crackers and seasonal jam.
