Have you seen Cheech and Chong’s Things Are Tough All Over? How about Five Finger Death Punch’s music video for “Blue on Black”? Or have you played the video game Fallout New Vegas? If the answer is yes to any of the above, chances are you’ve seen Pioneer Saloon. The 111-year old historical landmark that sits just outside the Las Vegas Valley is chock-full of history, lore and fantastic food and bev offerings.

“To me the bullet holes are the No. 1 most famous thing that we’re known for, so you have to see that,” owner Stephen “Old Man Liver” Staats said. “But then I always tell people, ‘Just come to the dining room and check out all four walls and you’ll get a good history of the place and different versions of it.’”

Those bullet holes Staats speaks of came from a poker game gone awry that ended in murder, and you can actually still sit at the poker table to enjoy a meal and beer while you take in all of the memorabilia of this storied spot.

Speaking of food, Pioneer Saloon is known for its burgers. One in particular, the World-Famous Ghost Burger, features the bar’s well-known Ghost Sauce, a recipe kept so secret that no one person knows the entire process, according to Staats.

Make sure you enjoy your food with an Old Man Liver Busty Blonde Golden Ale or a cocktail made with Old Man Liver American Whiskey.
