Everyone knows Carrie Underwood can belt out a verse. Everyone knows Carrie Underwood has incredible legs. Everyone knows Carrie Underwood will dig her key into the side of a pretty little souped-up four-wheel drive. And everyone knows you’ve got to see Carrie Underwood in REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency.
The country superstar has pulled out all the stops for her Vegas shows that feature one-of-a-kind set pieces and costumes, supremely talented performers and, of course, the best of Underwood’s catalog.
From beautiful ballads and pop country bangers to gospel hymns, the songstress does it all. Radio hits like “Cowboy Casanova” and “Good Girl” kick off the show in a high-energy fashion, getting the crowd on its feet and ready to dance, while slower-paced yet powerful numbers like “Jesus, Take the Wheel” and “How Great Thou Art” offer calmer opportunities to take in the singer’s incredible talent. One extremely lucky audience member may even find themselves onstage singing one of Underwood’s most upbeat and recognizable tunes.
There’s much more beyond the music, too. Resorts World Theatre is known for housing some of the most elaborate presentations on the Strip, and REFLECTION is no exception. Even in the more static moments of the show, visually interesting graphics and lighting design elevate the whole viewing experience. And when you see some of the super-creative props that have been made specially for Underwood’s Vegas show, you’ll realize the vocalist has put together a show most performers could only dream of.
One of the neatest items to grace the stage appears during the singer’s performance of “Two Black Cadillacs”—a custom-made throne constructed with parts of a 1963 Cadillac. And of course, there’s a flaming Jeep and a glittery water feature.
If the concert itself is just not enough Underwood for you, worry not. You can find Easter eggs all over Resorts World Las Vegas. Stop into Crossroads Kitchen for a preshow dinner and order the Carrie Underwood Reflection Pear Carpaccio, made with Climax blue cheese, walnuts, endive and whole-grain mustard vinaigrette. If you’d rather party postshow, pop on over to Gatsby’s Cocktail Lounge after 10 p.m. on Oct. 23 for Denim & Rhinestones, featuring unbeatable drink deals like buy-one-get-one cocktails for all ticketholders.
