Dive into Las Vegas’ history and evolution this week at Duck Duck Shed, The Neon Museum's third annual forum, which presents a variety of experiences that celebrate the unique nature of the city and surroundings, over a four-day period from April 24-27.

Fans of the iconic neon signs will delight in special tours each day that showcase the pieces you may have seen in classic movies; talks on varied subjects such as Vegas’ implosions, the psychology of carpet design in casinos and the building of The Mirage volcano; a tour of Aria’s public art guided by the curator; and much more.

In addition, special events include a world premiere of Action! Action!, at Circa Resort & Casino’s Stadium Swim on April 25 at 7 p.m. The movie was written by and stars Las Vegas residents—and a team of UNLV grads, which includes Adam Kilbourn, Danny Shepherd and Jeremy Le, produced it all.

At Caesars Palace, Two Sides of Jay Sarno as Told by Jay Sarno Jr. and David Schwartz brings the casino mogul’s experiences in building Circus Circus and Caesars Palace to light. Son Jay Sarno Jr., and author Schwartz highlight Sarno’s life on April 27 at 10 a.m.

The challenges in building a ballpark on the Las Vegas Strip are the subject of The Las Vegas Athletics: Designing Stadiums with a Sense of Place on April 26 at 2 p.m. at Binion’s Gambling Hall & Hotel.

Now a Vegas institution, Cirque du Soleil is currently the subject of Stories From Backstage: Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas, which is displayed at the City of Las Vegas’ Grand Gallery at 495 S. Main St. The chief curator of the exhibit, Sarah Hulme, will give attendees a look at what it took to put together the show on April 26 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
