Pop the champagne (or pass around the scorpion shots)! Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood is 25 and feeling fine. Born as The Shops in Desert Passage inside the original Aladdin, the shopping destination underwent a 2007 rebranding that introduced the “Miracle Mile” name, referencing both its 1.2-mile walkway and the famous Los Angeles district.

These days, you can easily spend a full day wandering Miracle Mile’s 475,000 square feet, getting lost among more than 170 shops, restaurants and entertainment spots while splurging on something special or finding just the right concert fit, regardless of budget.
The silver anniversary celebration runs all August long, with participating retailers, restaurants and entertainment venues offering $25 deals and 25% off discounts, because nothing says “happy anniversary” quite like retail therapy.
To celebrate this milestone, here are 10 fun facts about the Shops:
1. The Killers got their start here. Before Brandon Flowers was belting out “Mr. Brightside” to sold-out arenas, he was serving up meals where Blondies Sports Bar & Grill now stands. Meanwhile, drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr. was cruising the mall as a pedicab driver.
2. It has Hollywood-level special effects. The famous rainstorm display has performed more than 150,000 shows since opening. The newest addition, The Lost City Show, uses 30 projectors to make fire, water, ice, earth and wind dance across V Theater’s walls hourly from 10 a.m. to 11p.m.
3. Nacho Daddy has served 53,000 scorpion shots. That’s nearly 500 shots with actual scorpions every single month since 2016. Better on tourists’ shot glasses than in our shoes, we locals say.
4. Sin City Sindy is basically the Statue of Liberty of Las Vegas. Standing 31 feet tall in front of V Theater, Sin City Sindy is officially the tallest showgirl on the entire Las Vegas Strip.

5. Robots mix your drinks here. Tipsy Robot was the nation’s first land-based robotic bar when it opened. These mechanical mixologists don’t judge your drink choices, never have a bad day and definitely won’t cut you off early.
6. Chester Bennington’s tattoo legacy. Club Tattoo, co-owned by the late Linkin Park frontman, has tattooed celebrities including Jonah Hill, Steve Aoki and Olympic champion Simone Biles.
7. 540 million shoppers served. Since opening, the shops have welcomed nearly 540 million visitors. Meanwhile, Chicago’s Garrett Popcorn Shops—Nevada’s only location—has popped nearly 2 million gallons in its famous copper kettles.
8. A debut worth standing in line for. In 2007, when H&M opened its first Nevada location here, over 600 people lined up for the grand opening. Apparently, affordable Swedish fashion causes quite a stir.
9. Art installation overhead. The Rain Show’s sky-painted ceiling got a fresh makeover from local artist Rob Wilkerson, who helped create the original ceiling masterpiece at Paris Las Vegas.
10. OG tenants. Twelve stores have been there since the beginning—Aldo, Bath & Body Works, Loft, Lucky Brand, Magnet Max, Sephora, Steve Madden, Sunglass Hut, Tommy Bahama, White House Black Market and Wyland Galleries—beating Vegas odds.
