On Monday, beloved longtime Vegas performer Barry Manilow let fans and the public know that he is currently battling lung cancer and canceling all arena shows until February.

In a statement delivered on several platforms including Instagram and X, Manilow said that in an MRI scheduled to follow up after bronchitis recovery, a cancerous spot was discovered on his left lung.

“It’s pure luck and (a great doctor ) that it was found so early. That’s the good news,” he said. “The bad news is now that the Christmas A Gift of Love concerts are over I’m going into surgery to have it removed. The doctors do not believe it has spread.” No chemo or radiation are anticipated, he said, just recovery time.

“In the meantime, I’m counting the days until I return to my home away from home at the Westgate Las Vegas for our Valentine’s weekend concerts on February 12-13-14 and throughout 2026,” he said in the statement. “Something tells me that February weekend is going to be one big party!”

He also delivered his own PSA: “And remember, if you have even the slightest symptom, get tested!”
