ARTE MUSEUM, located at 63 CityCenter at the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Harmon Ave., is unlike any other museum you might have experienced. It’s art that moves, visuals that immerse and audio that surrounds—all combining to create moments of wonder and awe.

From the creative minds of Korean design and art company d’strict, ARTE MUSEUM operates in seven different locations including South Korea, Dubai, Hong Kong and now Las Vegas, the first U.S venture for the company. The museum consists of multiple immersive experiences spread across two floors and 30,000 square feet. The self-guided museum features a series of rooms, each with its own experience. Advanced media technologies that use projection mapping, multi-image control and sensor-based interaction allow the visitor to be fully immersed in various scenes and locales.

ARTE MUSEUM recently celebrated its first anniversary, and with that milestone introduced several new experiences. one of those is “Giant Camellia,” a forest ripe with camellias. As you place your hand on the interactive walls, the flowers come into bloom. Through the trees, mythical creatures fly around as the sounds of the living forest transport you to the magical locale. The “Garden” room includes a trip to Paris where you can walk along the rooftops of Parisian homes as you view the Eiffel Tower in the background. This room also includes digital displays of iconic Parisian paintings by 19th Century French impressionists like Manet, Caillebotte and Renoir. Sit and watch as the paintings bring the room to life as calming classical music aides in the experience—music is such an integral part of ARTE MUSEUM.

“Our immersive soundscape is created by music director Young-gyu Jang, a globally renowned composer celebrated for his scores in films like Train to Busan and The Wailing,” said Jin Lee, d’strict creative director. “He also serves as the bassist and producer for the award-winning band Leenalchi. For ARTE MUSEUM Las Vegas, Jang artfully combines intricate natural sounds with emotive background music, especially in our ‘Garden’ exhibit, to heighten the emotional resonance of each piece.”

The “Starry Beach” has quickly become one of the most popular new experiences as guests are surrounded by the ocean once stepping inside the room. The scene is set at night as the waves rise and fall, stretching the entire length of one wall and down onto the ground as the waves crash at your feet. The intense sounds of the waves crashing and ebbing add to the realism of this moving experience.

Other rooms include “Live Sketchbook,” where guests can draw their own creatures and watch as the museum’s technology allows for their drawings to come to life and be displayed within the safari scene playing out across the walls. The “Whale” room astounds as water takes the shape of the huge mammal as it stretches, sings and swims across the entire wall. And upon exiting the museum you’ll experience “Sunset,” with sherbet-colored tones that take you from daytime to beautiful sunset as you descend a set of stairs.

The technology of ARTE MUSEUM is nothing short of astounding and inspiring—through innovative technology, it brings art to life and allows for the guest to experience the creative medium in a truly immersive way.

“I hope guests have a truly engaging and thought-provoking experience as they explore the museum,” said Esther Koo, d’strict marketing supervisor. “My aim is for them to feel connected to the art in a meaningful way, whether through interactive elements, stunning visuals, or moments of quiet reflection. I want them to walk away inspired, with a deeper understanding of the art and a sense of joy from the journey.”

ARTE Café

Within ARTE MUSEUM is ARTE Café, a one-of-a-kind tea and latte experience. Be mesmerized by one giant wall filled with a beach and sunset scene where the rolling waves flow across the sand and the sky is lit up by peach-and-purple-colored clouds. A new immersive experience at the cafe includes “Dream of Las Vegas,” visuals inspired by the city. Order your cup of tea and watch it come to life as you move your cup about the tabletop. “Our ARTE Café is seamlessly connected to our exhibition space,” Koo said. “As soon as people step inside, their immediate reaction is, ‘Wow, what is this place?’ You can experience digital motion tracking that follows your cup. As you move your cup, digital effects respond to your movements, creating an immersive, interactive experience. It’s an amazing space where you can also taste our signature ARTE latte!”
