It’s June, which means it’s the nationally recognized time of year that we get to celebrate the gays and the theys for days! Naturally, it’s hot in Vegas in June, so you’ll have to come back in October for our Pride festival and parade, but that doesn’t mean you have to skip the festivities all together. In fact, there’s something for everyone, from outdoor activities to nightlife romps and so much more. So grab your hand fans and get to celebrating.

It’s the season for swimming and every Saturday the official PRIDE pool party, Elevate, takes over SAHARA Las Vegas’ Alexandria Pool (saharalasvegas.com). Not only is this the perfect way to spend a day in the desert, but half the proceeds from each $25 ticket to this rooftop bash will go to support Las Vegas PRIDE.
Splash into another celebration at Luxor’s Temptation Sundays (temptationsundayslv.com). Hosted by Vegas queer nightlife icon Eduardo Cordova, this long-running party has everything you could ask for, including guest DJs, surprise celebrity encounters and refreshing cocktails.
Find more fun in the sun with the PRIDE OUTside hike, a casual venture into some of the valley's beautiful nature that takes place regularly on the second Sunday of every month. The June 8 hike takes place at First Creek Canyon inside Red Rock Canyon. This gorgeous trail is great for beginner hikes, as it's rated easy to moderate, take about two hours to complete, and only has a 446-foot-elevation gain.
After soaking up all that vitamin D, it’s time to head indoors where parties and performances await. Head to AREA15 on June 4 for Pride Family Bingo (lasvegaspride.org), hosted by drag performer (Las Vegas PRIDE royalty) Norma Llyaman. Not only will you get to have a ton of fun trying your luck at winning the pot, but there will be a charity raffle to win as well, with proceeds benefiting local nonprofits.
Speaking of charity, Easy’s Cocktail Lounge (easysvegas.com), the swanky speakeasy that hides behind Easy’s Donuts & Coffee inside Aria’s Proper Eats Food Hall, hosts its “Big Night Out” on June 3 to benefit The Trevor Project, an organization that works to prevent suicide in queer youth. Expect an electrifying performance from headliner Estevan Velasco, who currently dances in ROUGE at The STRAT and Dita Von Teese’s residency at The Venetian, while you sip jaw-dropping cocktails, including the limited-time-only Glitter Gulch (made with vodka, grapefruit juice and elderflower liqueur) and Prism Punch (a mix of vodka, passion fruit liqueur, lime and orange juices and a splash of grenadine). One dollar from every drink sold will be donated, so party hard!

For more drag performances head to Flamingo, where RuPaul’s Drag Race Live! (caesars.com) recently surpassed the 500-show threshold. This über-popular iteration of the Emmy Award-winning competition reality show features a rotating cast of fierce queens who battle it out in one big lip sync extravaganza. Currently, catch Jimbo, Sapphira Cristál, Lawrence Chaney, Derrick Barry and Asia O’Hara giving us life.
Later this month, ¡Viva! by Ray Garcia at Resorts World Las Vegas (rwlasvegas.com) will host two drag brunches on June 28 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Enjoy delicious foods like chilaquiles and tres leches French toast while watching unforgettable performances from fan favorite Ru Girls. Top the experience off with bottomless margaritas and Bloody Marias.
Also at AREA15 (area15.com), explore surreal supermarket Omega Mart to find “THEM,” the newest space unveiled inside the immersive fantasyland that is meant to “encapsulate the unique joy of being a trans artist,” creator Whitney Lehn Meltz said in a press release. After enjoying the installation, which sits in Dramcorp HQ, head to the attraction’s hidden speakeasy, Datamosh, and order the Rainbow Connection, a fruit mule drink with lime peach and passion fruit served in a commemorative color changing cup. Don’t forget to shop the Rainbow Wash 3.0 collection in the gift shop area; it’s not only super-cool merch, but a portion of the proceeds from items sold will benefit Pride Tree and the Transgender Law Center.
Roll around in your pride at PRIDE Skate, June 9 at Crystal Palace (eventbrite.com). This nighttime event, also hosted by Norma Llyaman, is not only a great excuse to be active with some friends, but it’s also a substance-free party, meaning you can drive yourself home and remember the whole thing when you wake up not-hungover the next day. Ticket purchase includes skate time for one person, two slices of pizza and a juice box.
If you’d rather celebrate Pride in LGBTQ+-owned-and-operated bars, head to the Fruit Loop just off Paradise Road, where you’ll find a pocket of lively gay hotspots. Two of the most popular venues, Piranha (piranhavegas.com) and Gipsy (gipsylasvegas.com) host a slew of weekly events like drag brunch, RuPaul’s Drag Race watch parties and variety shows. This month, catch performances from Drag Race alum Lydia B Kollins (June 7), Mistress Isabelle Brooks (June 14) and Kerri Colby (June 21).
Show local queer bars more love when you visit Rosina Cocktail Lounge on June 26 for its Pride Month Mixology Competition (eventbrite.com). Talented mixologists from LGBTQ+ bars all over the valley will compete for $3,000 in cash prizes and the title of top mixologist.
