The impact of the Star Wars movies cannot be underestimated. Its fans are arguably the most ardent in the world, rivaled perhaps by only Trekkies. They look for any excuse to dress up as their favorite character, be it a movie premiere, trivia night or convention. And this week in Las Vegas offers one of the best possible reasons to be one with the force: Mosh Eisley, a party featuring so many cool, fun elements that you may never want it to end.
The themed party at House of Blues, a fun play on the “wretched hive of scum and villainy” Mos Eisley from A New Hope, beckons Star Wars fans of every stripe to become part of a mosh pit of light sabers and blasters while music and a light show transports them to a galaxy far, far away.
The one-of-a-kind event features live bands delivering early-2000s punk rock and emo, delivering a sound that will have fans dressed as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, a Sith lord, droid or Imperial Officer dancing long into the night.
So turn off that Star Wars movie you’re streaming for the 100th time, get your Darth Vader costume out of the closet and order your tickets now! Do or do not—there is no try.
