Drake’s had fun; so, too, have Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, Odell Beckham Jr. and some superstar NBA players. Yup, they’ve all enjoyed Topgolf Las Vegas, one of the city’s newest, and massive, hot spots for golfing. It’s also where you’ll find Kaitlyn Thompson working as a model bay host. “I met Justin Timberlake, that was really memorable,” she said. “That was really memorable. I love JT. I was so star struck!”

Topgolf is not only a place for celebrities to play but for tourists and locals alike. Since opening earlier this year, it’s been a popular spot for not only trying out a golf swing but a place to enjoy four floors of dining, drinking, dancing, swimming, socializing and catching live musical performances. “I think it’s an awesome place for everybody; everybody can have a good time here,” Thompson said. And it’s her job as a bay host to ensure guests are catered to and taken care of when they rent one of the 108 climate-controlled hitting bays.

“I’m making sure guests are enjoying themselves,” said the Las Vegas native. “I bring food, drinks and help explain the game. I get to know my guests, and make sure that they’re having a good time while they’re here at Topgolf. Hospitality is definitely a huge thing here.”

Thompson’s been with Topgolf since it opened its doors. “I love it and the venue is amazing.” Perhaps her favorite part about the job is the people. “I would say meeting new people and learning where people come from is my favorite,” she said. “We get a lot of tourists as well as locals, so it’s kind of cool to get everybody together and just find out a little bit more about people in town.”

Strawberry Jalapeño Margarita

Whether one is at a hitting bay, seated at one of the five bars or lounging poolside, tasty cocktails are never far from reach at Topgolf. Among the nine signature cocktails, a popular pick is the Strawberry Jalapeño Margarita. Tanteo jalapeño tequila is mixed with organic lime juice, agave nectar and fresh-cut strawberries. For groups, order one of the Golfbags, signature cocktails served in 60-ounce take-home mugs. There are also early bird cocktails like the classic mimosa and espresso martini.
