Any Dallas Cowboys football fans reading this? Well, meet Scott Goldberg, perhaps the biggest Cowboys fan. “I’m a die-hard fan; I bleed blue and silver,” he says. Although he was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., it was his mom’s love for Tom Landry that started his obsession with the football team, and “now I have a whole room in my house filled with autographs, framed jerseys, footballs, all Cowboys stuff; I’ve even traveled to Green Bay, Dallas, Arizona, Chicago to watch them play,” says Goldberg.

But when the Cowboys games are televised, Goldberg can conveniently catch them at work—PBR Rock Bar & Grill at Miracle Mile Shops. The restaurant and bar is a hotspot for game-watching, and Goldberg helps run the establishment as the assistant general manager. “With all the TVs in here, we can televise 12 to 14 games at one time,” he says.

And with an amazing team of his own, Goldberg says it’s a welcoming environment for everyone. “I coach my staff, give them advice, just as if we are a sports team,” he says. “They’re all great kids. It’s like one big happy family.”

This week, Goldberg and his staff gear up to welcome National Finals Rodeo Dec. 1-10. “This is the spot to be. We’ll have bull-riding contests, prize giveaways, live country music, drink specials, autograph sessions with bull riders, and famous rodeo clown Robbie Hodges is the emcee,” Goldberg says. “And me and my team will be here to welcome you.”

The Main Event

There’s a large variety of craft beer at PBR, including domestic, IPAs and microbrews, with about a dozen beers on tap. But it’s PBR’s signature and specialty cocktails that are sure to get the table talking. Cocktails at PBR are all handcrafted and have their own special PBR twist, like The Main Event, a mix of garlic-and-basil-infused vodka and Bloody Mary mix, both made in-house. The kicker is the garnish: celery stick, chicken wing, mini corn dog and a slider. And guests can order The Main Event in a signature bowl that serves up to six people and multiplies the garnish by six!
