For managing partner Josh Lang, The Still at The Mirage is a place that combines the Ohio native’s two passions: bars and sports. His love affair with sports began at a young age in his grandfather’s body shop, where he would bury his nose in sports almanacs, learning all the stats and getting quizzed by his grandpa and customers. “I’ve always been a sports enthusiast since I can remember,” Lang said.

The love for bars came later, when Lang attended college in his home state. He got a job bartending at a local spot, and “That’s when I fell in love with bartending,” he said. After graduating, a couple of Lang’s buddies convinced him to move to Las Vegas, where he could really turn his passions into a career. But it wasn’t bartending that Lang ended up excelling at. Instead, he made the move into nightlife as a host and marketing director, working at some of the hottest bars and clubs on the Strip. After building strong relationships within the industry and proving his marketing prowess, Lang was offered the managing partner position for The Still, helping to bring the sports bar to fruition in early 2016.

“Sitting down in a boardroom coming up with ideas, that creative process of bringing venues to life, placing the right individuals in the right spots to be successful and then maintain it—I love that process,” he said.

And Lang doesn’t just help run The Still, he’s also a customer and fan. “It’s the best place in Las Vegas to watch a game, and trust me, I go to sports bars all over the country, and here you get the higher-end feel. It’s like ADD medicine for sports fans.”

Raging Bull

Lang likes to say that The Still is “a sports bar with a unique dining concept.” He’s right on the money. Guests have the cool self-service experience of ordering food from the Airstream trailer set up in the back of the venue—“premium pub fare, all made gourmet,” Lang said. There are also the cocktails, handcrafted and delicious. A popular pick, the Raging Bull mixes 50 Bleu vodka, cranberry juice, fresh lemon and Red Bull Yellow Edition. And, guests can indulge in all of it come Big Game day, as The Still hosts a special viewing party with Man Cave VIP packages available and no cover charge. Doors open at 2 p.m.
