For Casi Arnold, hard work and keeping an eye on the prize is important—it’s what’s guided her towards her current position as general manager of The Dorsey at The Venetian.

“I was actually the first one in my family to go to college, so it was really important to me to keep moving up and use the knowledge I learned in school to make my family proud,” said Arnold, who was born in California but spent most of her life growing up in Las Vegas.

Growing up in the city, Arnold knew one day she wanted to work on the Strip, specifically in the food and beverage industry. She graduated from UNLV’s prestigious hospitality school and that’s when she “really gained an interest and a passion, and wanted to make an impact on the industry,” she said. Arnold worked her way up the ladder, including positions such as hostess, bartender, cocktail server and, about two years ago, her first management role as the beverage shift manager at The Venetian. Then she heard that The Dorsey was opening and the general manager position was available—another big step up. “I showed my strengths and showed them I wanted the position, and that I could handle it,” Arnold said.

As manager of The Dorsey—a spot she likes to call “cool, sexy, adult nightlife”—she oversees staff, books the DJs, handles inventory, books large parties and reservations, and makes sure the atmosphere and vibe are on brand.

But what makes Arnold a successful manager is that hard work and passion instilled a long time ago. “I never ask the team to do something that I’m not willing to do. I’m a hands-on manager and work side-by-side with my team and go by setting an example. … I’m proud to work here.”

Green Street

The Dorsey’s cocktail menu was created by world-renowned bartender Sam Ross. Since the lounge opened its doors at the end of last year, the menu has quickly become popular, with some of the most inventive, impressive and delicious cocktails on the Strip. Popular orders include The Dorsey’s punch bowls that can serve up to six people. The Green Street punch bowl is perfect for spring, with a blend of ABSOLUT.® vodka, fresh-squeezed lime, simple syrup, fresh-pressed cucumber and Granny Smith apple juices and club soda. There’s something quite special about the taste of fresh-pressed apple juice—that alone is reason enough to try this punch bowl.
