Gleidy Cese had one question when she moved to town last year: “What’s a fashion girl to do in Las Vegas?”

If you’re obsessed with fashion, Cese’s résumé would make you green with envy. The East Coast gal had spent nearly two decades helping lead events and creative marketing for high-luxury brands including Giorgio Armani, Bvlgari, David Yurman, Prada and Monique Lhuillier. But after living in New York and working in the field for so long, “I needed a change,” Cese said. “I needed to break up with New York and spread my wings.”
So, what did happen when she moved here last June? She joined the corporate department of MGM Resorts International as an entertainment manager, and about seven months later she took on her current role of director of programming at Park MGM. “When I applied, I thought, ‘Why don’t I take my experience in fashion and blend it into entertainment?’” Cese said. “Fashion people always want entertainment—it’s like speaking to the same audience.”
Cese’s goals for the property are to create unforgettable experiences. “I’m here to change a little bit of the perception of Las Vegas and what we have to offer,” she said. “I want to evoke that feeling of, ‘I went to Park MGM and it was memorable, amazing, I experienced X,Y and Z.” So far Cese has created musical and social experiences like Sunset Sessions and Vinyl Thursdays inside Primrose, and she has more exciting projects in the works, she said.
“Never in a thousand years did I think that I would live and work in Vegas and now here I am and I absolutely love, love it!”

Bruno Mars’ residency show at Park MGM’s adjacent concert hall, Park Theater, was a huge hit. And in honor of his show, Primrose created a few cocktails based on his music, like the 24K Magic. The smooth-tasting cocktail is mixed with Plymouth gin, lemon juice, lavender syrup and honey and garnished with a gold leaf. While Mars’ residency has ended, the tasty, popular cocktails have become a mainstay at Primrose. Just ask your bartender to whip one up for you!
