Michelle Dancy is a server at Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas, but back in 2007, she was just a guest. She was in town for a convention, and on the last day of her trip she and a group of colleagues decided to dine at the Bavarian-inspired restaurant and beer hall. It turned out to be a very significant meal.

“We came to the Hofbräuhaus to eat, and I jokingly said, ‘If it was ever to move to Vegas, I would totally work here,’” Dancy says.

A couple of years later, her words became her new reality. And almost 15 years later, she’s fallen in love with the restaurant and its staff. With Hofbräuhaus’ authentic way of bringing a little slice of Germany to Las Vegas, Dancy fits in perfectly, as she was born and raised in Frankfurt.

“It feels a little bit like home with the bands, the food. It’s my home away from home. It’s my family. Over the years you just grow together and become really close,” she says.

As a server, Dancy can be seen out on the floor interacting with her guests and carrying up to 10 steins! And this month, you’ll see her participating in the restaurant’s Oktoberfest festivities. “There’s celebrity keg tappers, a parade, cheering, bands and trumpets, Bavarian flags,” she says. “It’s an event for sure.”

Dancy, a mother of two and avid outdoor enthusiast, encourages Las Vegas visitors to try out Hofbräuhaus for themselves, just like she did all those years ago. “It’s really hard not to have fun when you have a one liter of beer in your hand,” she says. “The vibe here at Hofbräuhaus just carries people away.”
