“It’s kind of surreal to look back on my path,” says Lindsay Hoskins. “A lot of us PGA professionals started cleaning clubs at a golf course. The next job was inside a golf shop, and then I went to work for PGA of America, and then I was a head golf pro, and it’s just working my way through all the tiers of the industry. … And then my dream job like I’ve found here.” That “here” is Topgolf Las Vegas and the “dream job” is being the director of instruction.

Hoskins has been swinging a club since she was 4 years old—a sport her parents nurtured after realizing her natural talent for the game. She went on to attend UNLV in 2006 and earned her degree in PGA Golf Management, one of the most prestigious programs in the country. While she enjoyed playing the game, it was the business side that called to her. So she moved back to her hometown of Reno after college and taught professionally for more than a decade before she eventually came back to Vegas in 2019 to join Topgolf. “I’ve been playing so long and still love playing, but I wanted to help others enjoy the game,” she says.

At Topgolf, you can book an hour class with Hoskins. “I teach them the basics, help them get comfortable,” she says. “I love helping beginners. People that have never held a golf club and they pop it up in the air and they hit it straight and seeing that enjoyment they have from hitting the golf ball—I love it.”
