Bryan Kroten is lucky. While most of us stare at a cubicle, Kroten’s views include the Grand Canyon, Maui waterfalls and the Las Vegas Strip. For nearly two decades, he’s served as the vice president of marketing for Maverick Helicopters, overseeing all of the brand’s locations, including Vegas, Arizona, Hawaii, California and the Grand Canyon.

“The views never disappoint; they wow every time,” he says. “Maui, it’s my favorite place on Earth—the Molokai Sea Cliffs, I get goose bumps. The waterfalls being so close to them and feeling like you can touch them. Flying over EDC when you know hundreds of thousands of people are down there, it’s truly magical.”

And it’s Kroten’s job, besides handling advertising, PR, partnerships, special events and branding, to share those special sights with visitors. “The coolest thing is putting smiles on people’s faces,” he says. “We’re giving core memories and bucket list experiences for people.”

Kroten has a long history in the Vegas hospitality industry, going back to 1997 where he started in group sales for an events company and then spent nearly a decade in sales and marketing for Richard Petty Driving Experience. “When I look back on my career, I’ve been around race cars and helicopters—that’s pretty cool!” he says. But in 2005, he found his home when he joined Maverick Helicopters, where he’s helped build up the company’s stellar reputation. He even helped establish the biggest partnership for Maverick, the Electric Daisy Carnival. “It’s my favorite event of the entire year,” he says.

So many favorites fill Kroten’s job, from sights to events, but he says what it really comes down to “is coming into work and making people happy … I think that is really cool, giving people core memories that will last a lifetime.”
