Kicking off a year of hope—the Year of the Rabbit—the Lunar New Year has begun. In celebration of this zodiac animal, which symbolizes a year of longevity, peace and prosperity, The Venetian in Las Vegas introduces a trio of new cocktails at its three swanky lounges: The Dorsey, Electra Cocktail Club and Rosina Cocktail Lounge.
Fans of Remy Martin V.S.O.P cognac will be thrilled to discover that all three new cocktails feature the rich, vibrant spirit.
Enjoy this trifecta by starting off with the Lunar Lander at The Dorsey, a riff off a classic Old-Fashioned and made with Bénédictine liqueur and a dash of Angostura bitters.
At Electra Cocktail Club, try something sweet with the fruit-forward Lucky Red Rabbit, made with simple syrup, fresh lemon juice and muddled strawberries.
Make the last stop at Rosina Cocktail Lounge for the Spicy Longevity, a riff on a classic cocktail, the Moscow Mule. This one brings some bite to the palate with allspice dram, lime juice and fresh ginger.
The cocktails are available through Feb. 5. If you visit the lounges on Jan. 23, be sure to catch the Lion Dance Celebration at 3 p.m. in the porte cochere, where an eye-painting ceremony will be followed by a parade of dancers and drummers winding its way through the lobby and casino, and then heading toward the casino, waterfall atrium and lobby.
