During the summer, one of the best weekend hangs happens at Golden Nugget’s sensational pool complex, The Tank Pool. The Night Swim series returns for what’s sure to be another successful season, and guests 21+ are welcome to check out the party for free.
The backdrop of the Friday and Saturday night parties is the stunning 200,000-gallon shark tank aquarium along with a cool pool, waterfall feature and lounge chairs soaking in the shallow waters. Fun fact: Brave guests can ride a waterslide tunnel that flows straight through the aquarium, giving you an up close look at its denizens.
Night Swim is filled with other goodies, as well, like table games—try your hand at blackjack in an outdoor environment! DJ Flow provides the beats from 7-10 p.m. to get people grooving, and on the first Friday of each month a live band takes over. Specialty cocktails are available for purchase. We suggest trying the popular Shark Attack cocktail, a mix of Bacardi Superior rum, Malibu coconut rum, DeKuyper blue Curaçao, pineapple juice, Sprite and grenadine.
If you want to upgrade your party experience, guests can book a cabana, daybed or sofa. “We have one of the coolest pools in the city, it’s hard to compete with our amenities,” says Kevin Skagen, pool general manager.
But wait, the fun doesn’t stop there! Beginning at 9:15 p.m. every Friday night, guests can also catch neighboring hotel Plaza’s Welcome to the Weekend fireworks show. Now you’ve got your weekend fun all set!
