Getting out on the patio is definitely a goal in Las Vegas. And if you pair that with dining or drinking, you’ve got a recipe for a good time. At Margaritaville in the Flamingo, there’s ample opportunity. The restaurant sits directly across Las Vegas Boulevard from Caesars Palace, affording a great view from the Landshark Lookout on the second floor. And Margaritaville’s menu, revamped earlier this year, offers plenty of options for island-inspired meals and beverages.

Some of the new options include the drunken shrimp skillet, with shrimp awash in onions, peppers, garlic and tequila key lime butter. The beach tacos give you three types to choose from: carne asada, carnitas or chicken tinga. A chimichurri flat iron steak is topped with the Argentinean-inspired sauce.

Last month was National Hamburger Month, and Margaritaville sported a special hamburger menu, designed with the help of Margaritaville fans from across the nation. The special burgers were the Baja burger, which layered the patty with carne asada, avocado and key lime crème, the chimichurri burger, with that tasty sauce, and the bayou burger, with caramelized onions, grilled andouille bacon and a Cajun rémoulade sauce. Sound good? Although the menu’s gone, the chefs can whip you up one if you ask pretty please. And, who knows, you may just see the most popular one on the menu next year.
