At Tom’s Urban, the eclectic mix of street food from around the world might be the draw, but the urban spiked shakes will have you feeling fine. Who knew Red Hots candy had another life as a milkshake garnish? On the Fireball Milkshake, it does. Blended with Fireball cinnamon whisky and vanilla syrup, the Tom’s Urban in-house soft-serve vanilla ice cream makes this shake so good; it’s creamy, thick and not overly sweet. Roll over next door for G-rated milkshakes from New York City export Shake Shack. The frozen concoctions here use handmade ice cream, crafted fresh daily. Go for the classic flavors like chocolate or vanilla, made with real sugar, no corn syrup and milk that is free of artificial growth hormones.
For a traditional burger and milkshake combination, check out BLT Burger at The Mirage. The eatery offers 18 virgin or spiked shake options like the Grandma’s Treat (with Maker's Mark, vanilla ice cream and caramel), plus periodic specials, such as the Ode 2 Summer, featured for Labor Day weekend. The special milkshake is a refreshing blend of vanilla ice cream, passion fruit sorbet and watermelon juice topped with vanilla whipped cream.
Although not necessarily known for milkshakes, Brooklyn Bowl makes a hidden gem at The Linq Promenade. The Bourbon St. Shake is simple—vanilla ice cream, whole milk, Nutella and bourbon—but you’ll be asking for seconds with this one. It’s sweet and creamy but easily sipped through the straw, and the hint of bourbon gives it a pleasant finish.
Serendipity 3 at Caesars Palace specializes in all things sweet, reserving a portion of the menu for milkshakes, including a tribute to the summer campfire favorite, Toasty S’mores. Vanilla ice cream and crushed graham crackers are blended together, and toasted mini marshmallows and Hershey’s Kisses top it all off.
Get nostalgic with the ’50s-inspired Roxy’s Diner at the Stratosphere. From the fountain, order soda, malts and milkshakes in all the traditional flavors—or go for playfully tasty ones like mocha, Oreo cookie, butterscotch, pineapple and Butterfinger.
Hexx's Brown Butter Praline Milkshake
At Hexx Kitchen and Bar at Paris, the Brown Butter Praline shake has just three ingredients—brown butter praline ice cream, whipped cream and candied pecans—but the taste is pure indulgence. The milkshakes here are so decadent that you’ll actually find them on the dessert menu.
Chef Hubert Keller’s Burger Bar at The Shoppes at Mandalay Place is a build-your-own-burger adventure, and matching the fun is the build-your-own shake. Guests choose from an extensive menu divided into categories: ice cream, toppings, liquors, fruits, sauces and whipped creams. They have specialties here, too, like the Salted Caramel, a blend of vanilla ice cream, fleur de sel, English toffee syrup, caramel sauce and whipped cream, for a more gourmet, sweet-and-salty take on the shake.
