The legend goes this way: A group of friends in North Dakota would call in sick to work so they could work on their cars in a garage. Soon the group grew, and they would have cookouts with, of course, burgers. So emerged Sickies Garage Burgers & Brews, a North Dakota-based franchise that reflects the philosophy of its founders: Great burgers, cars, fellowship and, best of all, a place to dine when you decide to call in sick!
The newest location in Las Vegas is going to boggle your mind, both with its décor—include vehicles hanging upside down from the ceiling, license plates from all over the country and some real Americana on the walls—and its menu. The burger portion alone is stacked with goodness, including the Hot Momma, highlighted by ghost pepper cheese, peppered bacon and Mom’s Secret sweet jalapeño jam, and the half-pound wagyu burger Jalapeno Cream Cheese, served on a Parmesan and black pepper bun.
But there’s so, so, much more. Want a burger for breakfast? No problem, thanks to the Glazed Doughnut Burger. Got a sweet tooth? There’s a ridiculous array of milkshakes, which you can—and should—make alcoholic.
