When exploring Vegas, there’s so much to see and do that it’s easy to get lost in excitement, lose track of time and forget to eat. But once hunger strikes, and you find there’s no time for a sit-down meal, there are several grab-and-go dining options around the Strip that are quick, delicious and satiating. So don’t settle for sad-looking chicken nuggets and limp french fries—step up your meals!

Breakfast exists in Las Vegas, but it’s not a priority. And if you’re up late partying on the Strip, you’ll probably sleep in and miss the window for that morning meal. But if you’re an early bird, head to Brioche by Guy Savoy at Paris or Caesars Palace, a tiny spot that serves coffee, tea and Savoy’s signature pastries, some of which are filled with almond and candied fruit, Nutella and banana and more. If you’re seeking something savory, order a ham and cheese croissant or a cheddar and broccoli quiche.

Once lunchtime rolls around, the grab-and-go options abound, and you can find a quick lunch spot nearly anywhere on the Strip. Chef David Chang’s Moon Palace at The Palazzo serves up Tastys (tiny White Castle-esque hamburger sliders made of brisket and short rib and sandwiched between Hawaiian rolls), Hot Chips (crispy potato chips) and Half Dips (two pancakes filled with marshmallow and half-dipped into chocolate). It’s simple and delicious. But if you want a more traditional burger, stop by Shake Shack at New York-New York, the East Coast rival of In-N-Out Burger. While the menu offers delectable items like chicken nuggets and the ’Shroom burger, the classic ShackBurger is never a letdown. Don’t forget crinkle-cut fries and some ShackSauce!

You might enjoy a traditional two-piece chicken combo at the Bromberg Brothers’ Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken at Grand Bazaar Shops, but this chicken joint also offers tender dogs, a chicken sandwich dressed up like a hot dog. Go with the Buffalo tender dog, a chicken tender doused with Buffalo sauce and ranch, topped with pickles and served on a side-split potato bun. Speaking of hot dogs, the lobster rolls at Lobster ME at Miracle Mile Shops are basically lobster hot dogs, and it’s the best way to enjoy fresh lobster on the Strip without breaking the bank. The main attraction is the Maine Roll, a quarter-pound of chilled Maine lobster topped with mayo and chives and served with a side of Cajun fries or a salad.

Keeping with the seafood theme, Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips at The Linq Promenade serves up some of the best fish and chips in town, and its excellence lies within the preparation: Fresh Alaskan cod fillets are battered and fried for one minute, which results in a crunchy outside, yet tender and flaky on the inside. They’re then served up on a bed of crispy chips. Top off the experience with a twist of a Ramsay specialty, the sticky toffee pudding shake.

If you want something more upscale, Eataly at Park MGM offers fine Italian pizzas, pastas, meat and cheese plates and more at La Pasta Fresca and La Pizzeria alla Romana, but at the Italian Street Food marketplace, small bites make for great eats on the go, such as the prime rib panini, lightly sprinkled with sea salt, black pepper and extra virgin olive, or crispy fried polenta.

Let’s face it—there could be times during your vacation where you’re feeling a little tipsy, and you’ll crave something greasy, salty and unapologetically decadent. One of the best late night finds is PizzaCake by Buddy Valastro at Harrah’s. The Cake Boss star’s fast-casual pizzeria bakes up New York-style pizza at $6-$9 dollars a slice. You’ll find classics like cheese, pepperoni and a meat lovers pizza known as The Boss, which is topped with sausage, pepperoni, meatballs and bacon. Some not-so-classic, but still intriguing, slices include the chicken and bacon alfredo pizza and the Philly cheesesteak pizza. And don’t skip out on the restaurant’s Cake ATM, where you can buy slices of chocolate rainbow, red velvet and vanilla cakes.

Moon Palace just wasn’t enough for David Chang on the fast-casual front, and he recently opened another grab-and-go joint at The Cosmopolitan called Bang Bar (bang means “bread” in Korean). The signature item on the menu is the U Wrap, a flatbread filled and rolled with your choice of spicy pork, teriyaki chicken or spicy eggplant. Pair with a side of pickled shishito peppers or creamy bean salad.

But if you want a sloppy, delicious meal to go, head to Project BBQ at Circa Resort & Casino, the only permanent food truck on the Fremont Street Experience. One of their tasty signature items is the garbage bowl—brisket, pulled pork and barbecue chicken piled on top crispy potato chips, topped with barbecue sauce, beer and cheese sauce, crispy bacon and coleslaw.
