Whether you’re at a sprawling sports bar with tons of TV screens inside a lavish casino or in a cozy neighborhood tavern populated by locals, Las Vegas knows how to elevate pub grub. Bar food deserves a culinary category of its own, especially when it’s executed at such a high level while maintaining casual accessibility.

There may not be a better-known bar brand in the Las Vegas Valley than the PT’s Pub chain, and the company’s flagship location is the 6,000-square-foot PT’s Wings & Sports (702.380.7777) at The STRAT on the northern end of the Strip. There doesn’t need to be a big game on to enjoy this spacious, sleek update on the classic sports bar experience, thanks to a vast selection of craft beers to complement addictive eats like chili verde cheese fries, bacon-wrapped Buffalo-spiced shrimp, a Nashville-style spicy fried chicken sandwich, and every flavor of wings you can imagine.

Just up the street at Palace Station, Tailgate Social (702.221.6513) calls itself the city’s “most complete sports bar” because of its weekend game-day brunches, Tequila Tuesdays and other party-friendly programming. But stop by anytime to sample one of the most creative bar food menus in town, featuring spicy ahi tuna and crispy rice alongside traditional appetizers like nachos and sliders, Maine lobster rolls, grilled mahi mahi tacos, a serious Philly cheesesteak and a jumbo chili cheese hot dog topped with crispy onions and barbecue aioli.

No celebrity chef is more closely connected to casual cuisine than Guy Fieri, an undeniable expert thanks to his cross-country travels for the Food Network favorite Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives. At Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar (702.794.3139) at The Linq, he’s serving up some of those roadhouse faves along with his own tried-and-true tavern classics, all with over-the-top flavors. The bacon mac ‘n’ cheeseburger is a must for any burger aficionado; the pulled pork sandwich with bourbon-brown sugar sauce and pickle chips is another signature sandwich. Share some Trash Can Nachos with your crew and let the good times roll.

Two longtime local faves stay at the top of the list when it comes to best bar food in Vegas beyond the casinos. Crown & Anchor Pub (702.739.8676) is nothing short of an institution, the valley’s most authentic British pub, serving its full menu 24 hours a day, and one of the absolute best places to feast on fish and chips, Cornish pasties, Yorkshire pudding and bangers and mash. Don’t worry, American tavern classics are available too, including a standout steak sandwich and beer-battered onion rings.

With two energetic locations in the southeast and southwest, Born and Raised (702.685.0258) is a bar that lives and breathes the real Vegas and serves the people that keep this city running. Sliders are the specialty on this menu, and there are seemingly infinite options, from the most familiar variety of beef patties with grilled onions and special sauce to cheesesteak, prime rib, chicken katsu, pulled pork and even vegan selections. You can also build your own full-size burger with your favorite toppings, keep it lean with a salad, or share an extensive list of appetizers with friends—everything from ahi poke to pastrami fries to bratwurst bites. This bar menu is a melting pot, appropriate for a diverse city like Las Vegas.
