Lingering over brunch is a fabulous way to get your day started, especially at NoMad Bar. There are plenty of great cocktails to start with, but if you’ve got a few folks at the table, order one of NoMad’s Cocktail Explosions. These behemoths come in an enormous urn and serve up to eight people. The Porn Star, named for its fun presentation, features Elyx vodka, Lustau Fino sherry, passionfruit, vanilla and lime—it’s surprisingly light, yet potent as well.
The NoMad “fruit cocktail” is perfect to start and share with fruit selections of pineapple, cantaloupe, and melon infused with spirits like rum, Chartreuse and St-Germain. Or go savory with oysters, scallops ceviche or smoked salmon. Short rib hash, a truffle chicken sandwich and omelets are all available, but the bananas Foster pancakes are so sweet and delicious that you might want to save them for dessert.
