Paul Kevin Jonas Sr. and Denise Jonas, who are better known as the parents of the Jonas Brothers, had one singular goal in mind in opening Nellie’s Southern Kitchen: To pay homage to Paul’s hometown of Belmont, N.C.—and his grandmother, after whom the restaurant is named.
That means you’re going to find some truly Southern classics on this menu. Chicken and waffles are garnished with strawberries and drizzled with cinnamon honey butter and maple syrup; fried chicken is served with four-cheese mac and drunken collard greens; and Nellie’s chicken and dumplings are about as authentically prepared as you could expect in a restaurant on the Strip.
If you want a bit of all of this in one dish, order the Southern rolls—barbecue chicken, mac and cheese and drunken collard greens are rolled in a crispy fried egg roll and served with signature dipping sauces.
