As long as the Peppermill Restaurant and Fireside Lounge keeps serving casual dining fare from its neon-lit location where mid-Strip meets north Strip, classic Las Vegas will live on. Stepping inside leaves the modern world behind in favor of a ’70s-style atmosphere, with a firepit lounge that is the ultimate meet-up point for any occasion. Can’t decide where to get the gang together? Take a ride share to Peppermill any time of day and nosh on nuts until everyone arrives.
Then order Bloody Marys all around or a 64-ounce Scorpion before perusing the menu. Fresh fruit salad, French toast ambrosia and the legendary Peppermill burger are a few go-to items that have been on the menu since Peppermill first opened its doors in 1972. It’s easy to get lost in deciding from among dozens of tantalizing breakfast dishes, but a good way to break through the choice challenge is by ordering pickle fries for the table, then ordering family-style so eggs Benedict and French toast can be enjoyed by all.
The most dedicated diners know a Peppermill dinner should end with a slice of cheesecake and coffee, and possibly that scenes from The Cotton Club, Showgirls and Casino were famously filmed there. Regardless of how Las Vegas changes, it seems as if we’ll always have The Peppermill.
