Incredible food options abound on the Strip, but venturing off the boulevard means finding local favorites that give travelers a taste of life in the valley. One district that absolutely cannot be missed is Chinatown, which sits just across the I-15 with a vast array of irresistible eateries that serve foods from all kinds of cuisines. And one of the newest restaurants to open in the area, Le Cafe Central, brings a local-loved experience within easy tourist reach.
Operated by Le Cafe Du Vegas, this brand of adorable neighborhood cafes is known for delicious breakfast items, handcrafted beverages and viennoiseries imported straight from France. The Le Cafe Central location provides comfortable and uplifting ambience with its bright teal walls and funky light fixtures, perfect for communing over coffee or enjoying a full breakfast.
Diners won’t find a bad option on the menu, but there are certainly some stars. Order the duck gallette, which is exclusive to this location, for a delicate buckwheat crepe filled with rich duck meat and topped with a sunny-side up egg, arugula and red onion. Or try an unorthodox savory French toast, like the smoked salmon version with capers, red onion, arugula and hollandaise sauce. For something a bit more familiar, have the croissant egg sandwich, which has a perfectly fluffy Swiss cheese omelet, fresh tomato, basil sauce and mayo. Don’t forget to order a latte and a sweet treat while you’re here—the cherry yogurt pastry is delightful!
