The smell of fresh crepes now wafts through Paris Las Vegas’ faux French facade, and that irresistible smell comes courtesy of the latest concept from James Beard Award-winning pastry chef Dominique Ansel. Bringing to life the French market dining experience, Dominique Ansel Marché not only features the chef’s famed baked treats, but a full savory menu, something Vegas has yet to see from Ansel.
Sandwich enthusiasts will be delighted to know that not only is there an extensive sandwich selection that includes standouts like the croque monsieur, a classic featuring ham, Gruyère and béchamel on homemade sourdough, but also a ficelle sandwich menu that features fantastic fillings on a flaky, homemade baguette. Try the smoked salmon version with crème fraîche, capers, red onions, lemon zest and chives.
For something more filling, order chicken or turkey served fresh from the rotisserie that sits at the heart of the open kitchen. Served with appropriate accoutrements, these beautifully prepared proteins pair so perfectly with the roasted potatoes and vegetables to make a hearty, satisfying meal.
Oh, and that sweet, irresistible aroma we mentioned earlier? That’s coming from the crepe station that sits at the front of the café. From that station comes not just sweet treats like the lemon sugar crepe, but savory buckwheat crepes that will blow you away (plus, they’re gluten-free). The Vegetarienne with spinach and artichoke ricotta filling, fresh spinach and lemon vinaigrette balances the ultra-rich creaminess of its filling with the bright and zesty dressing, while the Forestiere features salty prosciutto and crispy bacon lardons made rich with Gruyère, pecorino and a sunny-side up egg.
It would be not be a true Dominique Ansel experience without indulging in his signature confectionary creations. Order fresh-baked goodies like the iconic Cronut and DKA or indulge in one of the tempting tarts on this menu. If you’d rather enjoy a frozen treat, the mango calamansi sorbet is to die for.
