One of the most well-known restaurants on the East Coast, Junior’s, is said to possibly have the nation’s best cheesecake. It’s also a favorite for the diner classics you can find there, including a range of egg-forward dishes that will satisfy your need for comfort food.

At breakfast, you’ll find two-egg platters with home fries, grits or sliced tomato, toast and bacon, ham or sausage; omelet favorites like cheese, spinach and mushroom, and a Western variety with pepper, onions and ham. But you’ll also find pastrami and corned beef varieties as well. A classic eggs Benedict, smoked salmon Benedict, eggs Florentine and corned beef hash with poached eggs join avocado toast with a sunny-side up egg and the ultra-classic steak and eggs, featuring a 6-ounce New York strip steak.

The goodness just goes on and on from there, with French toast, griddlecakes and brunch cocktails like the Junior’s Bloody Mary, mimosas with fresh squeezed juice, and coffee cocktails including the espresso martini with Belvedere vodka and Kahlua, and the Irish coffee with Jameson Irish whiskey, coffee, Demerara syrup, heavy cream and cinnamon.

Junior’s offers an all-day menu to cover your needs at lunch and supper, with everything from disco fries to matzoh ball soup, potato cakes and cheese blintzes starting you off. There are plenty of salads to choose from, including Greek salad and BBQ chicken salad, and a huge range of burgers and sandwiches like turkey, corned beef, pastrami and egg salad BLT, the Something Different, with beef brisket on potato pancakes, and a corned beef and pastrami combo, with two sandwiches on onion rolls. All the “steakburgers” are 10-ounce charbroiled patties. And dinner sports classics like chicken Parmigiana, roast turkey, fish and chips, barbecue ribs and chicken, and Hungarian beef goulash.

And saving space for dessert is an absolute must—the cheesecake varieties are simply to die for. Red velvet cheesecake, carrot cheesecake, brownie explosion cheesecake and the classic original are all waiting for you, but chocolate fudge layer cake and the strawberry cheese pie might be more your style. No matter your choice, it’s bound to be the right one.
