This time of the year is better than Christmas for me—imagine unwrapping everything you put on your list and then finding out it was all on sale! That’s a little of the excitement that the annual run of Three Square Food Bank’s Las Vegas Restaurant Week brings. As I write this story, I have perused many prix-fixe menu offerings, and I don’t know which toy to play with first.
From June 2-13, an enormous number of restaurants are offering multicourse meals, ranging from $20-$80, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Three Square. For restaurants, it’s a perfect way to help combat food insecurity and showcase some of your dishes, while for diners, sampling those tasty offerings means doing good as well. For example, Off-Strip, check out locals favorite Other Mama, a Japanese sushi and seafood restaurant that features a four-course meal with a seafood platter, Japanese fried chicken and caviar aioli, seared ocean trout carpaccio, grilled wagyu, miso-marinated black cod and a nigari sushi set as options. It’s $60, and $6 will go to Three Square.
On-Strip, you will find a huge number of restaurants kicking in. At the Forum Shops at Caesars, Sushi Roku Las Vegas lets you try an app, a Las Vegas exclusive signature roll, a sushi assortment or ribeye, plus dessert. Also at the Forum Shops, the new José Andrés Group outpost of Zaytinya is kicking in, with a four-course meal with some of its best dishes featured, like the beef soutzoukakia.
You’ll find many, many more offerings on the Restaurant Week website, and everything sortable by cuisine, location, price, donation amount and dining type.
