Las Vegas is known for the incredible events that happen here, from gala parties to intimate, extravagant dinners. This week, get a taste of that as chef Nobu Matsuhisa hosts a very special event at Nobu Restaurant & Lounge at Caesars Palace, Taste of Nobu West.
Matsuhisa has garnered a huge fan following since he opened the first Nobu in 1994, and since then the brand has gone global, celebrated not only for its inventive dishes, but for a dedication to quality and service throughout the company. The celebrity chef opened his first Nobu in Vegas in 1995, and in 2013 introduced what was the largest Nobu in the world, along with the first Nobu hotel.
“Caesars Palace has a special place in my heart—it’s home to our first Nobu hotel and restaurant,” said Matsuhisa in a news release. “I’m excited to be back with the talented team and invite new and returning guests to join us ...”
During the Taste of Nobu West on Sept. 17 at 6 p.m., you will be able to sample dishes from 10 Nobu restaurants from across the west, including such items as wagyu tacos, yellowtail jalapeño, spicy tuna crispy rice and more, both at action stations and through tray-passed appetizers, all while listening to live music. Desserts include the kakigori (Japanese shaved ice) station. You’ll also receive a special takeaway gift. For even more excitement, opt for VIP early entry at 5 p.m., where you will be greeted with extra offerings of champagne and caviar and the opportunity to enjoy a meet and greet with Matsuhisa.
If you can’t attend the Taste of Nobu West, do arrange to dine at Nobu Restaurant & Lounge at Paris Las Vegas. This is a gorgeous space that opened in 2022, and has since become a treasured reservation, with its intimate sushi bar and garden-style dining spaces. And, of course, it features several of Nobu’s signature dishes, such as the black cod with miso, as well as an extensive vegan menu.
