If you’re in town with Mom this week, then you probably know what happens on May 10. Although we all know Mother’s Day actually occurs 365 days of the year, its official date is May 10. And whether you call her Mom, Mother, Mama or Yes, Ma’am!, you’ll get huge points with a delicious meal to celebrate her. We’ve gathered a few suggestions to help you win those points. (Don’t forget reservations, or Mom will have a new favorite.)
BRUNCH
Hit up Bottled Blonde Las Vegas on Sundays for Brunch and Play, a rooftop party brunch from noon-6 p.m., best if your mom likes champagne and bottomless mimosas, and a reminder of her clubbing past. (You’ve seen those pictures of her from the ’90s!) Bottled Blonde also hosts Beats and Brunch on Monday-Saturday for a similar vibe.

If you remember Mama watching Martha Stewart shows on TV, treat her to a pierogi-making class at The Bedford by Martha Stewart, offered every Thursday, then return for a special brunch on May 10 with a brunch buffet featuring roasted herb-crusted prime rib, smashed crispy potatoes, a bakery station and other treats.

With the AYCE brunch at Caramella on Mother’s Day, that special lady can also construct her perfect cannoli from a variety of fillings. Tiramisu French toast, Florentine pancakes and steak and eggs are just a tiny part of the menu. And mothers will get a flower afterwards—now isn’t that sweet!
Planet Hollywood. 702.785.5551 or caesars.com
Also at Planet Hollywood, Cabo Wabo Cantina is offering a free “mom-mosa” with the purchase of a brunch entrée on Mother’s Day. Some of the goodies include chilaquiles con huevos, brioche French toast, short rib enchiladas and, of course, a boatload of margarita choices and bottomless mimosa and bellinis ($32.99 per person). Brunch is 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

LAND AND SEA
If you can score reservations for Alinea X Bellagio for you and Mum, then count yourself lucky (and consider a quick return trip before May 31 if you can’t). This wildly popular 20th anniversary tour from chef Grant Achatz and the Alinea team has taken over Michael Mina (which looks out on Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens) this month and showcases the chef’s innovative cuisine.

If steak is one of mom’s favorites, then StripSteak will please her mightily. Michael Mina’s upscale modern steakhouse is beautiful inside, with cowboy ribeye, wagyu rib cuts and other meaty delights. But for the “wow” to impress her, order the caviar “jelly” doughnut, with Daurenki caviar, yuzu curd and chives. Super cute.

For the fun factor, consider a trip to Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas, a beer hall and restaurant where the Muttertag (Mother’s Day) menu includes traditional German favorites like Spargelcremesuppe (cream of asparagus soup); Gebackener Briekäse (baked Brie cheese); Hähnchenschnitzel mit Stangenspargel (a breaded chicken breast with grilled asparagus, roasted potatoes and lemon Hollandaise); and Crêpes mit frischen Erdbeeren (warm crêpes with strawberries).
