Choose three of your favorite offerings at your property.
Mandalay Bay’s world-famous aquatic playground has been voted by Tripadvisor as one of the best pools in the United States. Complete with real sand, wave pool, lazy river, along with hundreds of cabanas, daybeds, bungalows and villas, it is a resortist’s dream come true. Also, we have Moorea Beach Club, which is our private, adult-oriented pool that allows toptional attire.
Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque Du Soleil is celebrating its 11th year and has recently had a refresh of the show. In addition to their amazing acrobatics, energetic choreography and visually stunning sets, they have added drones that fly over the audience. This is a must-see show that incorporates his iconic music into the impressive athleticism of the Cirque performers.
The newest restaurant, Bourbon Steak, which is located in the Four Seasons Hotel, is that of the famed Chef Michael Mina. The restaurant captivates you immediately as you walk in as a beautiful red baby grand piano greets you. Your dinner isn’t just a meal, it is a symphony of flavors, service and ambiance that redefines hospitality. Very classy, upscale with a touch of Vegas nightlife.
What are your go-to lunch spot, both on and off the Strip?
Ri Ra Irish Pub, located at the Mandalay Place Shoppes, has the best fish and chips on the strip. The pub menu and drinks are what to be expected of an Irish pub, with options like shepherd’s pie, bangers and mash, corned beef and cabbage, etc. On Fridays, locals save 40% with their Nevada ID.
Vickie’s Diner is a Las Vegas landmark and the oldest diner in town. It is located on Sahara Avenue and is open seven days a week, serving breakfast and lunch from 6 a.m.-2 p.m. Expect American comfort food options and generous portions with a nostalgic feel. Vickie’s focuses on affordability and all-day breakfast availability, serving $8.75 breakfast specials.
Ellis Island has been a locals’ favorite since 1968. They are famous for their $9.99 steak special that is served with two sides, a real bargain for Vegas. However, I go for their famous homemade soup, which is different every day. As a bonus, they reward hospitality workers with one free drink every day of the year. Yes, you read that correctly, one free drink every day.
What’s a cool “only-in-Vegas” experience?
For the football fan, take the seven-minute walk from Mandalay Bay and W Las Vegas and take the Allegiant Stadium tour. Experience the behind-the-scenes journey through Raider’s history and culture. Even if you are not a Raiders fan, as this girl is a die-hard Steelers fan, this tour is filled with surprises you could only find in Las Vegas. Highlights are seeing how they prepare the field for game day, walking on the field, visiting the press box, seeing the Raiders and Raiderettes locker rooms and even going into owner Mark Davis’ suite. As his father, Al would say, “Just Win Baby.”
Name some of your favorite steakhouses and why.
Barry’s Downtown Prime at Circa Resort & Casino is a high-end, vintage flair steakhouse that never disappoints. Chef Barry Dakake is a local favorite who has a way with steaks that no others can match. His staff are very knowledgeable and will provide a tutorial on the process of aging steaks, wet or dry. Chef Barry comes around in the restaurant to make sure everyone is satisfied with his creations, such a personal touch for patrons of his restaurant. A great place to impress clients where they have various private dining rooms.
Carversteak at Resorts World Las Vegas is a modernized classic steakhouse. Their unforgettable dining experience begins with a specialty cocktail curated by their master mixologist, Francesco Lafranconi, followed by Chef Daniel Ontiveros’ exclusive steak cuts that ensure the pinnacle of flavor. The restaurant offers their diners the opportunity to choose their own steak knives that are hand-crafted specifically for Carversteak. Thus, their tagline, "Sharpen Your Appetite," it's almost a rite of passage. I am unaware of any other restaurant that offers such an experience. It is the perfect steakhouse for bachelor or bachelorette parties as they can accommodate large parties. Also, if a well-crafted martini is your passion, like James Bond, guests can appreciate their tableside martini cart, shaken or stirred.
Papi Steak at Fontainebleau is a high-energy, club-style steakhouse with a stylish decor. The original hails from Miami and features the $1,000, 55-ounce Australian wagyu steak. It is presented in a briefcase by the wait staff parading through the restaurant holding strobe lights. As they arrive at the table to serve this extravagant spectacle, the case is opened, and the steak branded right at the table. It is so popular that other patrons are so intrigued that they end up ordering it too, a true classic Las Vegas moment to remember forever.
What spots are great to grab a late-night drink?
The Iconic Peppermill Fireside Lounge is on most tourist bucket lists. This lounge is quite unique with its retro vibe with a firepit inside the lounge.
The Golden Tiki, located on Spring Mountain in Chinatown, is the place to have fun. They have various curated items decorated to resemble that of Captain Jack Sparrow’s favorite pirate den. Make sure to view all the “shrunken heads” while sipping on your favorite tropical drinks and enjoying a Dole Whip too!
Herbs & Rye on Sahara Avenue has earned rave reviews for paying homage to classic cocktail culture. They make their own juice and bitters to add to their large selection of spirits. The restaurant offers an intricate cocktail menu that is categorized by the era of historic cocktails and a short history of the libation.
What great restaurants are open 24 hours a day?
Las Vegas offers a vibrant dining scene that extends beyond the famous Strip, with a variety of 24-hour restaurants catering to night owls.
WSKY Stadium, located across from Allegiant Stadium, is a dynamic sports bar with excellent food and great happy hours. They have a terrific menu with breakfast options and bar bites, as well as a dinner menu. This is a perfect spot when an event at Allegiant Stadium finishes late, as the crowds can roll in to continue their evening.
Grand Lux Cafe at the Venetian is the sister restaurant of the famous Cheesecake Factory. They have an extensive menu to suit all types of cuisines. The food is always fresh and made to order.
Open round the clock, the Palace Station Oyster Bar is a first-come, first-served restaurant. With steamed clams, fresh shucked oysters, seafood gumbo and etouffee, they have something fresh for everyone. Only 18 seats are available and usually there is always a wait, but I understand that Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the best days to avoid long lines.
Live music is happening around the clock in this entertainment capital if the world. The Piano Bar at Harrah’s Las Vegas is an absolute must where daily interactive live music shows have the audience singing along. It is almost impossible to walk past this Stripside venue in the evening and not stop to listen. Don’t miss the dueling pianos, truly a magnetic show.
Rhythm & Riffs at Mandalay Bay offers live music every Thursday through Monday beginning at 10 p.m.
House of Blues at Mandalay Bay offers music for the soul while dining on a Southern menu, as well as their music hall, which features top performers such as the legendary Carlos Santana. Make sure to check their calendar for upcoming performances.
Bringing the heart of Nashville to Vegas is the newest venue on the strip, Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Bar, located at 63 CityCenter. The restaurant offers a delightful mix of food, drinks and live music all day long. The venue is quite impressive, as it has two floors of live entertainment and is sure to become a favorite destination to enjoy great music.
What are some of your favorite wedding chapels?
For anyone looking to tie the knot, the charming Little Church of the West Wedding Chapel is situated on just one acre, across from Mandalay Bay. This quaint historic venue has been performing ceremonies for the past 70 years. It truly is quite different when compared to the glitz of other wedding chapels in town. I can't even begin to count how many couples I have sent there to get married or renew their vows.
Looking for a quick drive-thru wedding ceremony? Then look no further than the Tunnel of Love at The Little White Wedding Chapel. Fostering romance since 1951, they provide simple and easy weddings on a budget.
Open since 1939, the oldest wedding chapel in Las Vegas is the Graceland Wedding Chapel. Elvis might have left the building, but he is very much alive here to perform a happy couple's ceremony. He even walks the bride down the aisle, performs the ceremony, sings songs and provides you with a copy of Elvis and Priscilla's marriage certificate, thank you, thank you very much. Viva Las Vegas!
What spots on the Strip can the whole family enjoy?
Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay, FlyOver, ARTE MUSEM, Madame Tussauds Las Vegas at The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian, Museum of Illusions, Museum of Selfies, M&M’s World, Hershey’s Chocolate World at New York-New York, Discovering King Tut’s Tomb—The Experience at Luxor, gondolas at The Venetian, and High Roller at The Linq Promenade.
What are some top romantic dinner spots?
Enjoy the legacy of a multiple Michelin star Chef Joel Robuchon at L’ Atelier De by Joel Robuchon located at MGM Grand. The menu is an ever-evolving masterpiece that reflects both seasonal changes and the restaurant’s hallmark French dishes. Every meal is prepared right before your eyes and the highly trained staff are attentive, ensuring that each guest’s needs are met with precision and care. Signature dishes are Le Caviar, La Langoustine and Le Chocloat.
Prime Steakhouse, Lago by Julian Serrano, and Jasmine at Bellagio are all great romantic destinations, as they all overlook the iconic fountains.
Top of the World at The STRAT offers a dining experience like no other, as the restaurant revolves 360 degrees every 80 minutes.
Guests should experience the Krug chef table by Michelin Star Chef Guy Savoy for a private dining, multiple-course extravaganza. Located in the Augusta Tower of Caesars Palace, this restaurant upholds the highest standards of fine, intimate dining, a true world-class experience. They say that love happens in Paris, but if you can’t make the trip, you can certainly pretend, as this French restaurant features a view of the Eiffel Tower. One of his famous items on the menu is his artichoke and black truffle soup made with over 1,500 artichokes.
Can you share some speakeasy spots and how to get in?
Many of the speakeasies in town are more open secrets, but few require a password. (Hint: Check their websites, as they can change weekly.) These speakeasies allow guests to experience a more mysterious side of our nightlife scene.
At Proper Eats Food Hall at Aria, you will find a coffee and donut stand. If you ask to walk behind the cappuccino machine, you will find Easy's Cocktail Lounge, a luxurious speakeasy lounge with live music. Guests can enjoy handcrafted specialty cocktails while listening to jazz, blues and everything in between.
The newest speakeasy is called Caspian’s Rock & Roe at Caesars Palace, formerly Cleopatra’s Barge. Hidden behind this caviar lounge is a framed painting that disguises a door. Step inside to a Parisian flair room that features rock and roll musicians.
The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas features a secret entrance through an unassuming janitor’s door, all inside this working barbershop. Many celebrities have been known to perform at this hidden gem such as Bruno Mars, Dave Matthews and Machine Gun Kelly, all who have surprised guests with an intimate performance.
Are there any spots that offer dinner and a show?
The 1920s-inspired Delilah at the Wynn is for the guests who appreciate a good meal along with live entertainment while having fun. The decor captivates patrons from the moment they walk in. One of the hardest reservations to achieve, I advise guests to book well in advance.
Prepare yourself to go back in time and experience the glitz and glamour of The Mayfair Supper Club at Bellagio. Cocktails are outstanding and the dinner menu provides feasts for the senses as well as elaborate presentations. It’s a night for dressing up and enjoying high-energy entertainment with singers, dancers and acrobatics on the stage, as well as interacting with the audience.
An affordable dinner and show option is Marriage Can Be Murder at The Orleans. Just as the title suggests, it’s a murder mystery performance where the audience takes part in the crime. The more you participate, the more fun you will have. As they say, you will have a “KILLER” of a good time.
What are some of the best pieces of advice that you offer to your guests?
The best piece of advice I can offer is how to maneuver the transportation systems in Las Vegas.
Taxis from the airport to specific hotels have set fares, with signage at the ground transportation level displaying prices. For example:
• Mandalay Bay (closest Strip hotel to the airport): $21
• Bellagio area: $25
• The Venetian and beyond to downtown: $29
Take advantage of free trams and the monorail, which requires a fee. The Tesla tunnels offer a quick route to the Las Vegas Convention Center, with a day pass costing $5. The most budget-friendly option is the RTC public transportation, which is $8 for a 24-hour pass.
Don’t be fooled by how close things appear, Las Vegas involves a lot of walking. Wear comfortable shoes or opt for rideshare if you prefer a quicker route. The No. 1 piece of advice that I offer to my guests is to drink plenty of water, this is the desert, and you can become dehydrated very easily.
The immersive entertainment district that is called AREA15, where there is always something new and exciting to discover, take a ride on Liftoff.
The Neon Museum is hands down one of my favorite places to send guests. It offers the collection of historic Las Vegas signage in the “Neon Boneyard.” These signs offer a piece of living history.
The Fremont Street Experience has the Viva Vision Canopy and continues to be a main attraction for visitors year-round, with light and sound shows running nightly until 2 a.m. For the thrill seekers, try SlotZilla, the zipline that flies over the crowd below.
What are three of your most-suggested shows to see and why?
Without a doubt, “O” by Cirque Du Soleil at Bellagio is the most popular show in all of Las Vegas, even after 25 years. This is a visually stunning aquatic and acrobatic extravaganza featuring international synchronized swimmers and divers performing death-defying acts in and above the water. Definitely a bucket list experience for guests to witness this breathtaking performance.
An adult circus of burlesque, vaudeville, sexy outrageous acts, welcome to Absinthe. This is the funniest show in town that performs seven night a week, in the green fairy garden under the big top at Caesars Palace. An adult-oriented performance that’s not for everyone, Absinthe is a raunchy, hilarious show for ages 18 and over. As the emcee Gazillionaire would say, it’s a must-see show while in Las Vegas.
Ready to travel the world in 60 minutes? The MSG Sphere multi-sensory show of Darren Aronofsky, Postcards From Earth, is a visually stunning, memorable experience. This is next-generation entertainment with its cutting-edge technology as the Sphere’s 160,000-square-foot, wrap-around LED screen mesmerizes the audience. If you don’t get the opportunity to see the movie or legendary artists along with their groundbreaking productions inside the venue, go experience the Exosphere. Its unique displays will have you captivated.
What are some of the more affordable ways to enjoy Las Vegas?
I would recommend the Go City Pass, which offers over 45 attractions, shows, tours and activities. Guests can save up to 50% and choose to purchase a one-to-three-day pass. It is a terrific value and a great way to familiarize guests with Las Vegas.
The Big Bus tour is always a top recommendation for our guests. Their drivers are very knowledgeable about the history of the city and make it very enjoyable for them. They offer a variety of tours to fit every schedule.
What lounges have the best views of Las Vegas at night?
Skyfall Lounge at the W Las Vegas offers illuminating sunsets on the distant west horizon of Red Rock Canyon. As night falls, it showcases the glittering lights from floor-to-ceiling windows looking north down the Las Vegas Strip.
The Legacy Club at Circa Resort & Casino offers a panoramic view of the valley as well as the neon lights looking south down the strip. Not only is this a 360-degree, million-dollar view, but you can also catch a real million-dollar view of 500 gold bars displayed with their current value.
Alle Lounge at Resorts World offers north and south views of the Strip.
The Poodle Room at Fontainebleau Las Vegas is an exclusive lounge where you must be a member or be invited to gain access. Nothing less than perfection for this lounge. What makes it alluring is the secrecy of the lounge. Views of Sphere are amazing, but you will have to take my word on this, as they have a policy of no photos allowed.
What nightclubs offer the best experience for the price?
As a concierge, we have exceptional relationships with all the nightclubs in town. Our guests just have to inform us which ones that they are interested in, and a text or phone call is made to the vendors. Our VIP Hosts sometimes offer free entry or great deals to our guests, along with expediting their entry. Prices fluctuate depending upon the headliner of the night.
XS at Encore, Zouk at Resort World, Omnia at Caesars Palace and Marquee at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas are the ones that are requested frequently due to their stellar headliners.
What are some of the best Chinatown eateries?
Raku is the most requested Japanese reservation in Chinatown. It is an omakase or an a la carte experience for the foodies who are serious about their ingredients, it doesn’t get better than Raku. It’s where the chefs eat after they finish at their own restaurants. Definitely a bucket list restaurant for tourists.
For excellent service, a fun atmosphere and delicious Korean BBQ, the answer is Hobak. They only serve beef and pork, as their motto is to concentrate on the quality of their ingredients. The chefs cook the meat properly for you, which makes the patrons feel they are transported to Korea. When BTS was performing in Las Vegas, they dined here, putting Hobak as a top dining destination.
At EDO, an acronym for “Extra Day Off,” chef Oscar Amador, a James Beard Award semifinalist, brings his Barcelona upbringing into creating tapas with diverse ingredients. This is his heartfelt cuisine; he understands flavor, offering regular menu items as well as nightly inspirations. It is probably one of the most exciting restaurants for anyone who truly values great food.
Food enthusiasts can explore local favorites and hidden gems, making their culinary journey in Las Vegas both exciting and memorable.
Take a trip to the Arts District and enjoy Esther’s Kitchen. This is one restaurant that I recommend to locals and especially tourists. James Beard-nominated chef James Trees focuses on handmade pasta and pizza, and their sourdough bread with starters alone is worth the trip.
Andiamo Steakhouse, located at The D, is truly a hidden gem with detailed service by their excellent waitstaff. Clearly, it’s this personal touch that makes this Italian restaurant not to be missed. Their homemade gnocchi is a must to order.
The question that I have been asked many times is, "Who has the better pizza, Evel Pie or Pizza Rock?"
Pizza Rock by Tony Gemignani is an official U.S. Ambassador of Neapolitan Pizza by the city of Naples, a prestigious title only given to three people in the entire world. Pizza Rock offers a variety of different pizza styles to suit everyone's palate. From thin crust to thick crust on focaccia, this “GEM”-ignani of a pizza place has continuous four-star reviews for this master pizzamaker.
Evel Pie, inspired by daredevil Evel Knievel, has memorabilia that stretches from wall to ceiling. There are many pizzas to choose from with plenty of classic pizza options and a rock and roll soundtrack for your listening pleasure. They even offer a "mystery slice," if you are feeling brave. In a city that thrives on you spending money, Evel Pie is great value and a fun place to enjoy a slice for $5.
What spots transport guests back to old-school Las Vegas?
Las Vegas is known for its drinking culture. Atomic Liquors received the very first liquor store and tavern licenses. The Rat Pack and Barbra Streisand could be seen there after their shows, enjoying their favorite libations and shooting pool. Fans of Anthony Bourdain know that he filmed his show live from here and spoke to some of their oldest patrons while sipping on his favorite cocktail, the Negroni.
The Golden Steer is the oldest steakhouse and was voted as the best in the whole state of Nevada. It is filled with rich history and many celebrities have dined there. There are signature red leather booths named after Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe. Reservations for this classic restaurant are usually booked out three to six months in advance. However, they do accept walk-ins to dine at the bar.
An old-school spot that exudes elegance is Hugo’s Cellar, located on the bottom level of Four Queens. Ladies are presented with a long-stem rose by the maitre d’ upon entering the restaurant. It has maintained its same classic decor with the aged brick walls, dim lighting and small decorative lamps shades adored with the shape of a blooming rose. Tuxedo-clad servers along with tableside salad and dessert service makes for a luxurious dining experience.
What are some of the most unique spots in Las Vegas?
Before heading to the slot machines or the table games, guests might want to head to the second floor of The D and rub a piece of the Blarney Stone. It is an original piece of rock from Blarney Castle in Cork, Ireland.
While downtown, take a walk to Main Street Station to see a piece of the Berlin Wall located in the men’s bathroom. When the wall came down, pieces of the structure were sent all over the world as a reminder of the past and warning for the future.
Have your ID ready, as you must be 21 to enter Circa Resort & Casino and ask to see Stadium Swim—six heated pools, two swim-up bars, two hot tubs and open 365 days a year. This place attracts sun lovers and sports fans, as it has a 143-foot-long and 40-foot-high jumbo screen. You have to see it to believe it.
The Punk Rock Museum, located on Western Avenue, is a display in chronological order of how punk rock has evolved through the ages. In addition to viewing the music, fashion, and film of the era, they have a bar, tattoo shop and jam area where you can play instruments. You can even have a Partner in Crime “pop up” wedding ceremony.
Back in the day, the Commercial Deli in the commercial center was where The Rat Pack would frequently dine. Now it has been transformed into The Composers Room, where the essence of classic entertainment is showcased nightly. In addition to enjoying fabulous local entertainment, such as Kelly Clinton Holmes, Tony Arias and Christine Shebeck, to name a few, indulge in a full-service restaurant and bar.
If you could plan the perfect day in Las Vegas, what would it entail?
I would definitely have my guests staying at Mandalay Bay. They would start their day in a chauffeur-driven limousine and be taken to Lapis Spa & Wellness, located at Fontainebleau Las Vegas. Their Lo-Tide mornings allow you to be in sync with the start of your day, offering balance from your mind and body to perform at your very best.
Next, it’s time to get ready to attend the Lavo Party Brunch, located at The Palazzo. This is such a unique experience to enjoy champagne, brunch and dancing on the tables. And let’s not forget the props, glow sticks, sunglasses and sashes for those celebrating a special occasion. Enjoy the excellent food while watching the dance team creating a high-energy environment that adds a lot to the party.
Time for a little retail therapy? If on your wish list is to have the newest Louis Vuitton bag, then you are headed off to The Shops at Crystals, where the store is spread out over two floors. Looking for the perfect outfit for this evening? Stop by The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, which has a spectacular range of luxury brands and one-of-a-kind fashions. Head back to the hotel with your packages and get ready for an evening to remember.
Your night begins with a chauffer-driven limousine that whisks you to the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign for a photo opportunity. Then it’s off to Maverick Helicopters for the night tour over the Las Vegas Strip. Soar high above the most popular landmarks as your pilot provides information during the flight.
How about a late-night dinner before heading to the nightclub? Your driver will take you back to where your day began to Fontainebleau Las Vegas to savor ITO. It is a once-in-a-lifetime, omakase 17-course dining experience at this intimate 12-seat restaurant. As you dine on fish that is flown in daily from Japan, you witness stunning views through the glass façade behind the chefs. The food is perfection and the service is impeccable.
Proper timing is for your arrival at XS Nightclub at Encore. I have arranged for you to have expedited entry and comp drinks with the VIP Host. Pace yourself with the alcohol, as you want to be able to enjoy the headliner. Now head to the dance floor and have as much fun as you want!
Finally, your chauffer will bring you back safely to the Mandalay Bay, as you recall the cherished memories from today that will last a lifetime, as your all-day journey was worth the reward.
What spots have the best burgers?
We now have two Gordon Ramsay Burger locations. His burgers are cooked over an open flame fueled by hardwoods, creating a more complex flavor. One is at Planet Hollywood and the other is located at Flamingo.
Flanker Kitchen + Sports Bar is in the Shoppes at Mandalay Place was voted by Las Vegas Weekly as the best burger in town. Their made-from-scratch wagyu burgers are a true standout while watching a variety of sports from their 55 TV screens. Children of all ages are welcome if they are accompanied by an adult.
And for a budget-friendly burger, there is always the crowd favorite, In-N-Out Burger. Due to their popularity, guests that are not from the West Coast, often ask where they can get In-N-Out Burger. As we will soon be getting one of the largest In-N-Out Burger restaurants on the planet, it shows the popularity of the brand here.
What restaurants are great for vegan and vegetarians?
Crossroads Kitchen by Tal Ronnen at Resorts World Las Vegas is an upscale experience--it feels like you're walking into a high-end steakhouse, but everything is vegan. If your diet is plant-based and you miss the experience of a classic steakhouse, this is the place for you. They offer vegan versions of meat, poultry, and fish dishes. It is an intersection where vegans, flexitarians and omnivores can share a delicious meal.
Border Grill at Mandalay Bay offers diverse modern Mexican cuisine with vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options of tasty dishes to suit everyone’s preferences. The restaurant has two floors of al fresco dining as well as an indoor dining room. Enjoy the Border Brunch every Saturday and Sunday, where you can indulge in unlimited small plates such as the green corn tamales and plantain empanadas. Chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feninger, the “Two Hot Tamales” from the Food Network, use organic, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. These women have made a remarkable achievement, as they recently celebrated 25 years at Mandalay Bay.
