Zombies may be fictional, but the intensity and excitement of Adventure Combat Ops is very, very real. It’s an immersive experience from start to finish, including orientation, training and armed combat against a relentless threat—hordes of actors playing zombies.
Your adventure begins in a briefing tent, where you’re introduced to your instructors—ex-military snipers, Green Berets and more. Any nervous laughter you may have about “killing zombies” quickly wears away as you realize these guys are serious about what they do—and keeping you alive. After you’re loaded up with equipment including a helmet, goggles, vest and airsoft rifle, you get some training in various urban warfare techniques, including successfully clearing a room and keeping all windows and doors secure.
Before all this information even has a chance to sink in, your mission begins, “clearing” a suburban neighborhood’s homes. Lights go out, sirens blare, shots ring out and some hideous moaning and screaming issues from the darkness. It’s hard not to feel like a total badass, when you’re kicking down doors and jumping through windows. When it’s all over, don’t be surprised to find yourself clearing your home when you return from vacation.
