“It’s a good thing I was born a girl—otherwise I’d be a drag queen.” –Dolly Parton

Whaddya think, Frank, baby—a new Divas Las Vegas punchline? We’ll play consultant (fee-free) as you’re performing a major makeover for the female impersonation showcase (and its troupe of “divas”) of which you are creator, director and star. About that—do tell.

“I change it a little every year, but that never seems like a whole new thing, so I decided, let’s do everything in one shot, a big boom for 2017,” says Frank Marino (Frank, baby to us) about the refresh, bowing March 6.

“I always thought of losing my virginity as a career move.” –Madonna

C’mon, Frank, baby, you’ve gotta love that one. But please continue. “We’ve got new characters, new opening, new finale, new dances, new music for existing characters, new gowns and dresses for myself, new monologue—90 percent Donald Trump.” (Gowns in bright orange?) Oh, and a bump from 75 to 90 minutes.

“I’ve always been famous, it’s just no one knew it yet.” –Lady Gaga

Cute quip, Frank, baby? “Our highlighted number, since the Super Bowl, is Lady Gaga. It seems like she’s taken over the world.”

New lineup? Behold: Madonna, Whitney, Britney, Beyonce, Gaga, Celine, Cher, Dolly, Shania, Bette, Rihanna, Streisand, Pink, Diana Ross, Patti LaBelle, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Janet Jackson, Broadway’s Linda Eder and Pat Benatar.

“I wanted to capture the man audience. When they come to the show with their wives they love it, but I want them to come in all by themselves. I wanted to put in characters who were less threatening. With Pat Benatar it wasn’t just gay men who loved her, but Middle America.”

“Why does a woman work 10 years to change a man’s habits and then complain that he’s not the man she married?” –Barbra Streisand

Pencil that one in, Frank, baby! But let’s hear specifics. “Our Linda Eder does an opening number called ‘Big Time’ about show business. Adele is straight from a concert where you see her eyes and she sings ‘Hello.’We’re taking Streisand back to ’94 when she started singing again in concert—redone versions of ‘I’m Still Here’ and ‘Don’t Rain On My Parade,’ but with funny lyrics. And I throw in things from musicals, like Jekyll & Hyde, a piece called ‘Bring on the Men.’”

“I feel like a million tonight—but one at a time.” –Bette Midler

Ooh, that’s good, don’t ya think? But how about the show’s new look, Frank, baby? “I gave costumes for the background dancers for Adele, they’re like warrior outfits, like black leather kilts. Dancers for ‘Big Time’ will be in zoot suits. For my finale, I have all these feathers, which I stole from Mariah Carey on New Year’s Eve.” (The idea, not the feathers, silly.)

“I could serve coffee using my rear as a ledge.” –Jennifer Lopez

Please—you can’t resist that one, Frank, baby. But how about your hosting? “I still open as Joan Rivers. I tried to take it out when she passed but so many people wanted her. Then I do my own character. In my monologue—thank you, Donald Trump. I’m in heaven. You’ve given me so much material that I’ll never retire.”

Glad to hear that, Frank baby.
