If ever there was a more appropriate descriptor for a person and his profession, we have yet to find it. First name Cedric, last name “Entertainer”—okay, his birth name is Cedric Antonio Kyles, but that’s not relevant—has it right there in his moniker. The man entertains!
He’s an in-demand stand-up comedian whose work was featured in the hit comedy concert The Original Kings of Comedy. He’s had his own sketch comedy show, Cedric the Entertainer Presents. He’s starred in films including the successful Barbershop franchise, Man of the House, Be Cool and Top Five.
Then there’s the work Cedric the Entertainer does as a voice actor, supplying personalities to characters in films like Ice Age, Madagascar, Charlotte’s Web and Planes.
Did we mention he’s a highly regarded television host? He’s been the presenter on shows such as So You Think You Can Dance (we bet Cedric can!) and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (we bet Cedric is many times over!).
On the sitcom front, Cedric has had his mug splashed across the small screen since he co-starred in The Steve Harvey Show more than two decades ago. Since then he was a main player in The Soul Man and currently he’s one of the stars of The Last O.G. One thing is certain: No matter what Cedric is doing, you can bet it’s entertaining!
