What to try in Vegas this week
Las Vegas has so much to offer that sometimes it’s hard to narrow down the choices, or know where to begin or end. That’s where Las Vegas Magazine comes in—we let our readers know about all the happenings in the city this week.
One of the absolute best specials on the Strip is at ameriCAN Beer & Cocktails at The Linq Promenade. From 7:04-8:04 p.m. daily, you can order draft beers and well drinks for only $1 each during the venue’s power hour. American also offer its mystery beer of the month program—test your tastebuds as you drink an unknown can of beer from a paper bag for just $5.
Tempt your tastebuds some more at Hussong’s Cantina at The Shoppes at Mandalay Bay by trying a new specialty cocktail, the Chamango Margarita, during September and October. The frozen margarita is blended with mango purée and Chamoy sauce, then garnished with diced mango and a Tajin-seasoned rim and served with a Tamarrico candy straw.
Catch the tail end of The Park’s Labor Day Weekend festivities on Sept. 2 from 1-7 p.m. with the Food Truck Picnic event. Enjoy pop-up bars and food trucks, including King’s Sausage, Strip Cheeze and Truk-N-Yaki, as well as lawn games and picnic-style seating. Also celebrating the end of LDW is Cabo Wabo Cantina at Miracle Mile Shops. For $13, guests can enjoy the holiday cocktail, the All-American, mixed with Absolut Citron, simple syrup, sweet and sour mix, Sprite, grenadine and blue curaçao.
Red Rock Resort and Green Valley Ranch Resort recently introduced a Social Hour Experience. Guests at both resorts can enjoy daily happy hour specialty pricing on both food and drink at multiple locations within each resort (stop by the concierge desk for details).
To make your sweet tooth happy, hop aboard The High Roller at The Linq Promenade for the in-cabin chocolate tasting experience by local candy maker Ethel M Chocolates.
